Yes, I called them to confirm things (and asked them to put me down for a morning delivery so I can make the English factory tour at 11:45am) - did you already complete the ED Purchase Order and your CA sent it to BMW NA (in NJ)? As part of that, you request ED dates (you give 3); if you've already done these things, you can call BMW NA Special Sales (ED) at 1-800-932-0831 and ask if they've received & approved your ED Purchase Order. They can also tell you what week the build is scheduled for. If you're requesting ED dates a few months from now, they'll just move the build week back to where it's about 3 weeks prior to the approved ED date.

I was week 36 and just spoke with BMW genius who told me my car is in production as of July 10 with a scheduled finish of August 12.

MG, 6-spd, Executive & carplay.

Haven't received a delivery time yet but may need to call the number you referenced in one of your previous posts to get the time set. Waiting on my packet to arrive.

We're going to spend a couple of days in Munich and then head to Prague for a few days.

A number of us who are week 33 went status 150 on Aug 4 (Friday of wk 31). So if week 36 scheduling is similar, you should go 150 on Aug 25.

That's my prediction anyway ... it's entirely possible you could get bumped forward or back. I started out as wk 35, got bumped to wk 37, then bumped to wk 33. It's probably not prudent to count on firm dates until you go production (150).

The build (manufacturing) week is the week that production completes. So if you are build week 33, your car should complete manufacture by the end of week 33. So by Aug 18 or 19.

Week 37 is the week of Sept 10 - Sept 16.

My week 33 build is estimated to be production complete on Aug 18 (the Friday of week 33).

Also well 36, but still 111 status. Doing European Delivery and no date yet set; requested October 3rd, 4th or 7th. How do they notify us of delivery date?

Both times I did ED, my CA confirmed Munich-delivery date. And both times I got my #1 choice. I've heard you can call the BMW NA Euro Delivery coordinators in New Jersey for info, but I've not done that and don't know the number.

Eventually (several weeks before your ED delivery) you will get a packet from BMW explaining the whole process ... but in the meantime you should be able to get confirmation on the date from your CA.

I don't understand what you are asking - but maybe this is the answer:

The VIN is assigned when your car starts production (status 150).

As jj said, check with your CA - I placed my order (which included three date choices in the same week as you requested) on 6/20 and my CA informed me the next day (6/21) that there was a green check mark by the delivery date (my first choice) on the Vehicle Inquiry Report (he texted me a screen shot), which he said meant that the date was approved.

I didn't get the official "confirmation letter" (email) until this month (8/4), but I called BMW NA Special Sales approx a month ago and they further confirmed my 10/5 ED date while also noting that I requested a morning delivery time (before the 11:45 factory tour).

See my post above - #23 - for the phone number.

BMW Genius can tell you (844 443 6487). So can the automated line (800 831 1117, option 2). You'll need your production number (which your sales rep can tell you). I tend to use the automated line - and it won't actually give you anything more than "scheduled for production with no date assigned yet" until it's in production (150) - then it will say :your vehicle is production with an estimated completion date of <month><day><year>."

The automated line won't give you specific status codes. BMW Genius can - although, depending on which rep you get, you may be told that "we're not allowed to provide status codes anymore". Your CA (sales rep) can provide you status codes.

You won't get "reliable" production complete dates until it goes into production (status 150). Before then, your start production date can get bumped (forward or back). If you haven't already, ask your CA, or BMW Genius what your build week is. That's the week your car is targeted for production completion - but again, that week can be moved around until you actually enter production.

October 4th delivery at BMWelt has been confirmed. My first ED at the Welt was October 17, 2009 for my 135i. Still love the 135i with nearly 121,000 miles.
