Hopefully they will allow those with iDrive 5 that didn't originally spec it as part of their order to add it in the future as it would only require an update.

Still holding out hope that Android Auto will be available at some point.

How do you upload pics on to this?

The wait is excruciating. BTW, I am guessing all of us on the Tortugas is financing/purchasing (cash/check) vs Leasing?

If you guys are purchasing, are you going through BMW FS or your bank? The best rates I'm seeing are 1.9% through Chase.

Planning on putting a large deposit for my purchase. Any ideas?

I noticed that most of the time, the CA does not know as much as you. My CA did not even know you can track the production status online. LOL.

So, I almost did not get Carplay until I looked on the BMW site and asked it to be added in.

OP, you may want to consider putting the departure date in the thread title so when searched this thread is differentiated from other Tortugas threads.

Just added the departure date to the header. Hurricane Nicole is now threatening the Atlantic, so either the Tortugas will "full speed ahead" to try to make it to Canada before the hurricane hits its path on Sunday. Or it will be delayed, lets just hope no significant car damage.

It took 10 days from Halifax to Montreal.

1-2 days to clear customs. 3-4 days to install MPE at VPC. 3-4 days to ship to Montreal. 1 day from rail depot in Montreal to dealer.

Edit: working days.

Looks like Marine Traffic stopped updating a couple hours ago. Anyone know how to track the Tortugas as she crosses the Atlantic without paying for a premium option?

Useless IMHO. Just check 1-2 days before ETA and you should see your boat before arriving to Halifax.

But if you "really" want to follow your boat, there is a 30 free trial you can register via Marine Traffic App.

So this thread has been quiet the past few days while the Tortugas makes its way across the Atlantic.

It looks like it will be dancing around the edges of Hurricane Nicole as it approaches Halifax. Only a few more days to go before it hits North American shores. Getting closer...

For those of you checking, the Tortugas just appeared 36 minutes ago back on the marine tracker, off the coast of St. Johns Canada. It seems she has made it safely through the waters of the Atlantic, into coastal territory. Let the wait begin!!!!

ON THE TORTUGAS TOO!and it will arrive Halifax on 17th if everything is according to plan, and maybe another 20 working days to get to westcoast.

I upgraded to the free trial and now can track the boat using satellite - looks like everything is on track and she will be docking in Halifax as scheduled

I ordered mine through The BMW Store about two years ago - picked mine up through ED in September and now waiting (patiently) for re-delivery. You get anything off MSRP?

Yeah I got hit with the extra $2K charge. I was at BJ last weekend and found out they are charging $4K on top of that now - all the other local dealerships doing the same.

On the positive side our boat is going to dock in Halifax in a matter of hours. Let's just hope customs clears them fast

Yep, that's all we want, btw do you have idea how long it takes from Halifax to Vancouver? And what color is ur m2? I saw three LBB in a single day, I also got LBB
