haha well, i dont have a garage until aug 2017 so thats the only thing that factored in my remote THINKING of letting this car pass me by for a future allocation. But i went with the better option. i waited a year and had anxiety that i would somehow get shammed out of my #6 spot bi weekly. lol glad its on the way now though, but it can take its time since it works in my favor each day of winter that passes by

I put my deposit down over the phone with my dealer early sept just before they got their q4 allocations. When I had time to make an actual visit a week ago the SA turned the screen around and showed me the list and where I was. Expecting a q1 allocation he said Dec 20ish is when they should know q1 for sure. So if you are looking for or hoping for a q1 allocation it sounds like that may be the earliest you will hear.

Not sure if all dealers want to release the info yet, but I've been notified by one of the 3 lists that I'm on, that it's time for me to put my order in for their latest allocations

I was #1 on my dealers wait list and he provided me with a production # last Friday so the allocations are definitely out there.

I have been patiently moving up the list and last I spoke to my CA he said I am looking at feb/march based on my current position on the list. He says they release the allocations on a monthly basis at this particular dealer so it may be different depending which dealer you are working with.

I've noticed some as well. Mostly with $10k in M parts at more than full retail. I just don't see paying more than retail and not getting the stock parts. I can get the same parts for $7.5k or less and then sell the stuff for $5k before I sell the car.

I was #1 as well and got my allocation. My (very large) dealer only got 2 allocations. Just like capo, the projected actual BUILD date for the allocation is March, so April delivery, which would agree with what you said. Uh, perhaps you were suggesting that your didn't even receive an allocation yet.

Undertow - what did you mean by "production" number? A 111 number? That is not really a "production" number. When is expected production?

My allocation would be an early March production slot, if on schedule. Looks like there really won't be an abundance of these cars for a while. Well, at least until ours deliver, then there'll be 10 allocations a month!

I was just double checking, the 111 number is a long time from production and the build can be changed up until about a week or two from actual production. I'm excited, but my enthusiasm is tempered by the prospect of a very late model year delivery for full sticker.

Assuming my allocation is forthcoming soon, I'm in the same boat but at least we will avoid the inevitable price increase...

Yeah I didn't receive mine yet.. I'm number 3 as of now. CA was talking about other means of receiving allocations outside of the official schedule? Idk. Sounds like bs to me..

I received my production # last week from my dealer and called BMW Genius. They said it's slated for week 3.
