I hope so as well. Its only 202 cars, and not just M2's but across all M cars built during that time period...so fingers crossed for all of us.

Since i doubt id get a full refund Ill be expecting a loaner car of similar value..and I believe that's being reasonable as there are only 200 cars affected

Approx how many cars do you think lie in between those dates?..it's gotta be a large amount ..yes our odds are great but I wonder how long it will take them to clear our cars..ud think it would be as simple as looking up a serial number but who knows

In the memo that was posted, it was very specific....202 cars across all M cars (so not just M2's) produced between May 12th and July 4th.

looks like my car is being held at the halifax autoport
i wonder if its going to just sit there until the car is released, would be better if it was shipped to the dealer and held there |

Affecting only 202 cars across the M line up likely means a SMALL number of M2s. Given it's a "stop delivery" notice, I'd say it isn't really a "recall" per se and more a "we found a defective part and don't want the cars going to customers until it's fixed." I don't believe there are many, if any, delivered cars being called back for repair.
Now, if you happen to be one of those M2's that get delayed, that will be bad

That's a good point as they will likely need parts to correct the 202 cars first. Having said that, I can't imagine it would have a big impact on future production.

Just looking at the build dates, I should be unaffected. My car was built April sometime.
