Going full front: bumber, hood, mirrors, front fenders up to the doors.

Nope getting mine coated.
What's the difference with Xpel,...protection, durability & look Wise?
For me it's personal preference. Since I'm DD mine in the Canadian winter, the coating helps with snow sticking to the car and also salt on the roads, etc - typical winter stuff.the coating also gives a hard candy appearance to the paint, holds up better over time.

You can even spray paint the car and wipe the spray paint off. As a matter of fact, if you get this molecular coating before a clear bra, the clear bra won't stick haha

The clear bra, based on past experience, tends to peel too soon when used during those winter conditions and you start to get intrusion along the seams.

At the end of the day, the Xpel will provide better protection as it is a physical shield vs a molecular coating like what I'm getting.

Good explanation. Since my M2 will only be summer driven, I am good with Xpel.

For those of us in NY, could anyone recommend some xpel installers in the tristate?

Due, for me, in Halifax on July 12th. Car is getting coated and M Perf bits added and I will be picking it either the 15th or 16th.

Yep, many of our vehicles from the M Tour#2 are onboard the Mignon as well.

The MIGNON has left the port of Southhampton. Next stop: Halifax, NS.

Will do! I have a lot of friends with high end cars go (Ms, GTRs, etc.) there so far no complaints. I'm doing front end expel and the rest of the car ceramic pro. I can't afford to wrap the full car xpel right now.

For some reason I tried looking the ship up on wikipedia only to find myself deep within wiki's pages. They should make their ships nuclear powered, then they could travel at 30 or so knots like warships. Then our cars would be here faster.

The one bad thing about Euro delivery is; it's like getting a lap dance from a stripper. Sure it gets you worked up, but you don't get the finish.

That's not too bad for earlier this year. At one point in Jan/Feb/March, the backlog was one month - meaning your car would be there for that long before even getting on a truck.

Things are better there now, maybe down to 2 weeks or so.

One piece of advice to others: as I mentioned previously, I already completed all the sale documentation for my car before it even gets here. This was done to beat the HST hike we just had. One added benefit I did not know is that, if the car is marked as sold, it gets priority in leaving the Halifax port over cars that are considered dealership stock.

Looks like she might be in some weather/rougher seas. She was scheduled to land on the 12th at 0400, then a day or so later it changed to 1600 on that same date. Now it's showing 0830 on the 13th. Hopefully as she closes in on the Canadian coast she'll get some good currents.
