Actually, for some extra freshness, order a EURO spec M2 and get the sliding roof (option code 403). And while you're at it, also get the privacy glass (option code 420), DAB tuner (option code 654) and "M Driver's Package" (option code 7ME) to top it off. Takes a few more seconds to configure, though.

Lol Europe has too many options to select for the M2, i like the idea of only having to worry about choosing a paint color.

But i wouldn't mind having a sunroof option, that would of added another 2 seconds to complete my order

How I would build my M2 Coupe

BASE MSRP$51,700
Long Beach Blue Metallic$550
Leather Dakota Black/blue highlight$0
Carbon Fiber Interior Trim$0
Executive Package$1,250
Manual Transmission$0
Destination & Handling:$995

Total MSRP as Built$54,495
Estimated Lease$790/mo

Not inexpensive, but good value for money compared to what I paid for my M235i. Hopefully by 2018 there will be new/different colors to choose from and a facelift. This is a hell of a car.

There might not be any other LBB BWMs around, but since I've been looking at colors I see a bright green/teal Ford, Mazda, Toyota, or Kia on every street corner.

I don't think their number is that many compared to the number of white or black cars. Regardless, I'm not only looking for exclusivity. White M2 just doesn't look right to me, it's a little dull IMO. For instance, I can live with a LBB M2 with literally no M Performance Parts; however, I can't image owning an AW M2 without M Perf Parts and window tint.

I would loove a Silverstone M2. Better yet, Tanzanite Blue. Oh and some cloth seats please.

Yes. I had already noticed all the teal.

And LBB IS Teal.

The same thing happened with orange back around the time the 1M came out. It was on everything from mini to X1in BMW lineups and other manufacturers from Honda elements to Chevy and dodge made cars in Orange.

Both colors are BMW responding to a market place that already has established those colors.

They did a nice job with both, but in no way is the color unique to the make or the model.

Exactly my thought process...originally had the car specced as AW, then switched to LBB. You can get ANY bmw in AW...but not LBB. Also, from the pics I have seen, the fender and door gaps are hidden better on the LBB than the AW.

Good choices... I really like Tanzanite and SS exteriors and the interiors you matched up with them.

M2 would look great in Tanz and SS.

But whatever you do, don't order the Chrome Line trim.
Leave that to the 7 Series crowd.

Every dealership within a 100 mile radius of me says they are sold out for the entire year. Someone tell me what the the point of the online builder is for MY16?

I don't think the M235i will be a big seller once the M2 is readily available.
The m235i will do fine when people realize its sold out everywhere and 5k-10k dealer markup

That's it, no moon roof, no go!

Seriously though, this is a first for BMW to have so much standard equipment.

I think the opposite and people will get a M3/M4 instead.

If you already have your mind set on getting a M car, why go backwards and get a non M 235? If every dealer on the planet was charging 5-10k markup, i would be owning a M4 right now

I have two friends that put in an order for an M4 when they couldn't get the M2. I was the only one that had the luxury (curse) of waiting...

For what the M2 is currently leasing for? I'd have to really think hard about an M3 instead...

Glad I've got a few years on my current lease before making any decisions. Maybe the residual will get more sensible for the M2 by then.
