Carlinkit 4.0
Has anyone tried carlinkit 4.0?
Apparently it translates wireless android auto and wireless carplay into wired carplay. That seems ideal for older iDrive. I've tried some of the android screen replacements in other cars, but they were very buggy. Last edited by ///mChris; 08-10-2023 at 11:41 AM.. |

The f30 guys seem focused on Android boxes you install inside the dash. I haven't seen anyone give feedback on the external USB attach boxes. It appears they emulate carplay for output. The input can be android auto, etc.
I did try carlinkit 4.0 which does translate android auto into carplay in my Ford escape. However it doesn't seem like it works in my m2. I did find another option. https://www.joyeauto.com/product/mmb-android-carplay-ai-box-for-bmw/ |
