I trained my wife to love BMWs, that's why she now has the M235.

Still trying to crack this nut. I may/may not do it.
Frankly, I hate the design detail of the fake grille/gill on the front fender. |

I love the look of a debadged high end car. so stealth. but the thing with the M is its so clean and sleek to begin with. no need to remove it. I could see taking off 335xi Xdrive , or for that matter CLA45 AMG - you know along those lines. M with a number is a real nice compromise - simple, elegant but with a lot of meaning.

I'm about to remove the "competition" badge from my M2C because I think it looks bad. "Competition" looks especially bad under the upcoming X3/4/5/6M Competition models.
For me it comes down to wanting a clean(er) look, but sometimes a complete debadge looks too clean. If you've ever seen a 991 without the PORSCHE lettering across the back you'll probably know what I mean: it looks good with the centered "PORSCHE" letters that you get when you eliminate "Carrera 4 GTS" (or whatever) from the factory, but take it all away and it looks too plain. Macans look even worse with no badges. |

Black lettering was the next logical choice.

I don't like badges. I can live with the rear badge because badges in the rear are so common on all makes and models generally.
However, the front badge is totally unnecessary and just screams attention the way I see it, esthetically the front would look better without it. I plastidipped my front badge black to see what it would look like and it dissappears nicely. Buying 3rd party grilles would solve it better of course. |

I debadged immediately after buying my car, recently. Loved the stealth look. Should've lived with the car a bit first, before starting in on the mods, though. (Felt like I didn't know the car yet. Hadn't bonded with it enough to change it.) I will likely debadge fully again, in the future. The key, to me, was doing the front grilles and the side spars. Super low-key. ;-)
I now have these grilles and side spars listed in the classifieds, for anyone looking to do this: |

Do you own an F87? If so, people who don't know what an F87 is, won't notice. Those who do - will. The latter will remember the former when you rebadge it. HTH. |
