Well there are always girls that are into cars who will notice, but the type the M4 guy wanted to impress? No, they don't care.

I trained my wife to love BMWs, that's why she now has the M235.

Still trying to crack this nut. I may/may not do it.

Frankly, I hate the design detail of the fake grille/gill on the front fender.

I love the look of a debadged high end car. so stealth. but the thing with the M is its so clean and sleek to begin with. no need to remove it. I could see taking off 335xi Xdrive , or for that matter CLA45 AMG - you know along those lines. M with a number is a real nice compromise - simple, elegant but with a lot of meaning.

I'm about to remove the "competition" badge from my M2C because I think it looks bad. "Competition" looks especially bad under the upcoming X3/4/5/6M Competition models.

For me it comes down to wanting a clean(er) look, but sometimes a complete debadge looks too clean. If you've ever seen a 991 without the PORSCHE lettering across the back you'll probably know what I mean: it looks good with the centered "PORSCHE" letters that you get when you eliminate "Carrera 4 GTS" (or whatever) from the factory, but take it all away and it looks too plain. Macans look even worse with no badges.

Exactly. Not kidding.

I wanted to debadge and already have a '218i' badge still covered in plastic in my armrest box, ordered 1 month ago at my dealer.(€37,06 inc vat) No joke.

When will I put it on? Dunno...the whole thing might be a bit sarcastic I guess...

Cheers

My M2 was debadged, just liked the cleaner look.

That's also my jam, but several of my friends talked me out of it.

Black lettering was the next logical choice.

I got debadged in the rear... that sounded terrible. PPF installers forgot to stick it back on when finished and I didn't notice right away. I kind of like the cleaner look, but that's completely personal. I'm going with black tips and M spoiler soon, probably stick the black badge back on to complete the look on my LBB... maybe.

Taking those tips off were a complete bitch that's all I know.

Worth it though.

I agree with the black badging as a good way to remove the glaring chrome badge.

I don't like badges. I can live with the rear badge because badges in the rear are so common on all makes and models generally.

However, the front badge is totally unnecessary and just screams attention the way I see it, esthetically the front would look better without it.

I plastidipped my front badge black to see what it would look like and it dissappears nicely. Buying 3rd party grilles would solve it better of course.

I debadged immediately after buying my car, recently. Loved the stealth look. Should've lived with the car a bit first, before starting in on the mods, though. (Felt like I didn't know the car yet. Hadn't bonded with it enough to change it.) I will likely debadge fully again, in the future. The key, to me, was doing the front grilles and the side spars. Super low-key. ;-)

I now have these grilles and side spars listed in the classifieds, for anyone looking to do this:

Debating going stealth. Would like to see what the side gills/whatever look like debadged. I know the front grille can be dremeled out as people have done it on the M3/M4s.

Thank you in advance!
Do you own a diesel F22? If so, you may wish to hide this fact as a result how much you've spent on aftermarket bodywork, given that everyone can hear it sounds like a minibus and the performance is appropriate.

Do you own an F87? If so, people who don't know what an F87 is, won't notice. Those who do - will.

The latter will remember the former when you rebadge it.

HTH.

That's how you do it ! I rebadged my W211 E55 as an E200 and my 1M was sporting an AMG badge at some point.
