New GTS Splitter Developed for M2 Competition

Hey guys,

We've been working on developing a new option for the M2 Competition platform. The F87 has been a great platform to work on and is still very popular today.

As the new G87 model comes out, many people will begin to use the F87 as a track platform. Because of this, we thought what better time to develop a more track-specific splitter option.

Enter, the Carbon Fibre GTS Lip by Essentials. This Carbon Fibre Lip has been designed to improve performance and remain cost effective, so that in the event you have a little ding on track, it's not bank breaking to replace. On top of that, it looks great.

It's available here: https://autoid.co/collections/bmw_f8...-2018-2021-f87

Looks interesting. How come the center air dam portion was removed?

I believe FaRKLe! is talking about the opening above the center of the front lip.

We reversed it compared to the M Performance lip as this middle section has a larger surface area, able to create more downforce with less drag.

I think if bolted on both sides it should be fine. But yeah I would not trust it with just tape.

Wish it was made in hard plastic, carbon can gets damage very easy for daily driving. But very nice lip...

Hasn't been an issue at these speeds on the autobahn. There aren't any tracks you can hit 150mph in an M2 either. We topped out at 130mph on the Red Bull Ring.

Yeah depending on the use-case for the customer we make different suggestions on install. For road use, OEM bolts, self-tapping screws and bonding adhesive.

Thanks bud. Demand for plastic splitter isn't high enough to cover the cost of the moulds for it unfortunately.

Are there any photos of this lip on a lighter colored car?
As there is little contrast between the black lip & the black car pictured, it's very hard to evaluate how it actually looks.

Thanks for posting a pic if you have one
