Settings aren't great on the M2.don't mind the rev matching but shame it can't be turned off on its own, along with loosing sports throttle with driving aids off, miss the sensitive throttle,BMW should if done a better job.my old 1M was more simple.

There are only two throttle options on the M2 (and M235/M240). Those are Sport and Comfort. In DSC OFF, you have the Comfort (i.e., linear) throttle. By far a more ideal throttle setting compared to Sport which is too quick and abrupt for hard driving with turns.

explains it. DSC off uses the same mapping as 'sport'. sport+ had its own obnoxiously aggressive (IMO) mappping. |

Anyway, it's the same ol' .pdf you can find in "BMW M2 Technical Training 2015" under "BMW M2 Manual | Catalogue | Presskit | Pricelist | Technical Docs". It's pretty clear there are 3 distinct throttle mappings, with the "sport+" mapping only available in "sport +". Which is why I never use "sport+". Personally, I find "comfort" a bit lethargic, and I don't have trouble modulating with the "sport" mapping. I'm curious about how "comfort" would work with DSC off, but BMW won't let me try. |

The throttle response difference between them is EXTREMELY obvious when toggling between them. You can just hold your foot on the gas pedal in the same spot and toggle between the three modes and watch the car accelerate and decelerate as you go up and down the modes. |

My pre-LCI M135i had two settings - Comfort and Sport/Sport+
M2 has 3 distinct settings; Comfort (also in M-mode but with more exhaust pops) which is pleasant and really quite crisp enough once you have been using it for a half an hour or so. Sport which is currently my preferred mode, isn't too over-the-top and is the mode you get with DSC Off Sport+ which is daft - way too sensitive and one I avoid.

You're at a complete stop, foot on clutch\break. You simply let your foot off the clutch\break and it starts to drive? At what point do you press the gas? Once it starts moving? |
