Question What do u consider "abusive" driving??

Just want to get an idea of the things you would consider as 'abusive' driving?

I got about 500km on my 2018 m2 so far, and want to know if i am guilty of doing any abusive things to my car, id like to keep this car in pristine condition

Thanks for the input!

1) Running it hard before it warms up.
2) Slipping the clutch when you launch or shift.
3) Lugging the engine.
4) Missed downshifts, eg over revs.

Abusive driving is when you try to treat it like a Museum Exhibit instead of a Sports Car

Revving the engine until its bouncing off the rev limiter to show people how cool your exhaust is.

Not suggesting that you'd do that.

Just curious - why is that bad? I'd assume it's at safe RPM levels if the car is warm.

Not that I'd do that

Is it possible to lug the engine/slip the clutch in automatic mode?

Driving like it's your ex g/f's lease instead of your purchase.

No way to slip the clutch in an auto. I don’t have a DCT, but if you can put it in 6th from a stand still and drive off, then you can lug the engine.

U knkw the m2 kinda makes it hard to judge the distance to curb on driver side, theres a blind spot when making left turn (in Canada)

Passenger side helps becuase the side view faces down but only in reverse

Whenever I let anyone drive my car, I always say you can go as fast as you want as long as you don't burn any rubber.

If it's smoking from anywhere you are probably abusing that part.
