It might need 50-100HP more depending.
It's just fast but not lightning fast like M3/4. Brakes on trackdays need upgrade. Downtown old brick streets it's a harsh ride. ASD but I got rid of it a year ago. Prices of M Perf goodies are high That's about it. Cheers Robin |

the fact that the thing does not allow you to default to "Show all messages" instead of "service messages". WTF?

Don't. The car is amazing. Sure there are minor gripes, but this thread pulled them all out and concentrated them in spot to read. This is still a fantastic car, arguably the best fun to dollar ratio of any BMW on the market today. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

1. That I had to remove ASD myself and add the on/off button for the PDC
2. It is too hard to lower it and too soft to be compliant on track... You need adjustable suspension 3. Absence of color choice via Individual 4. Absence of decent M seats 5. Absence of M mirrors MR |

I think this was what he meant. You can swap the module and be able to shut off the PDC. |

Just got my car (2017 M2) 2 weeks ago. Put on 950 miles so not out of run in yet. Traded my 2015 m235I in on this. I drive them everyday thus the 950miles in 2 weeks. Would it be nice if these cars had 450 hp? Yes. Do I really need it? No. Its quick. By the way this car handles night and day from the m235I and although I expect engine performance to be basically the same its plenty for street use. Looks are on another planet from the M235I. That car always seemed narrow and under wheeled in the rear for me. This one is pretty much perfect.
I dont have 5 complaints although I would like an oil temp gauge. |

interested to hear why you think its under-powered? im in two minds about a tune. i don't want to over power the chassis given thats the highlight of the car I'm coming from a m135i so I'm in a similar boat |

I had almost 520 in my last car....and I still pined for more. "Wish this thing had 600." With all I'm reading about how "perfectly balanced" the M2 is I'm starting to wonder why people are asking for more HP. |

I really don't think the M2 is underpowered but we live in a world where more is always better! This car is quick and very stable. 450 hp would most likely be more fun but dont know how much of a difference it would make. 4 seconds to 60 is already quick. I very happy with this car and quite frankly I was happy with the 235I but the handling with the M2 is substantially better. And I think it looks so much better. I guess you cant go wrong but the M2 is certainly a step up.

I also have a 2007 997tt that is putting about 500 hp to all 4 corners. I dont daily drive it though. Yes it feels substantially stronger then the M2 but the M2 is still plenty quick. I think I get more thumbs up with the M then the 997. I really like this car. Its fun to drive and makes a great daily driver. Funny thing my insurance is cheaper on the M2 then on the M235I. Not much, only a few bucks but its a more expensive car and is brand new. The M235 was a 2015. Go figure

Last thing, i had no intention of buying an M2. I brought my car into the dealer for an oil change and the M2 was sitting there. Just fell in love with it and the rest is history. BTW got it substantially under sticker. The car is pre LCI made June 2017. Had no idea they were having a face lift with new lights and dash so maybe that's why? Doesn't really matter to me though. Although I like the new dash guages I like the round headlamps better. Don't really care about the tail lights.

1. Can't see the gauges. Honestly not sure how those passed testing.
2. Seats. Could care less about mirrors, etc but would have been cool to have nicer seats 3. Would be nice to have more control over driving modes Honestly can't think of much else and those 3 are me really trying to nitpick. Love the car as is. |

Be nice to turn off the parking sensor, once it starts, won't stop.
Love the car and anything I'm not happy with can always be changed with aftermarket parts, but it's nice as it comes from the factory. |

I'm really happy with the car and have to be really picky to find a complaint but....
1. Lack of gauges (oil, temp) 2. Visibility of gauges (fixed w/LCI) 3. Seat comfort - my E30 convertible sport seats feel better - minor complaint 4. No moonroof (fixed w/LCI) 5. Engine noise in cabin (resolved)
