The wheels pictured are the optional wheels. The current standard M2 wheels, will remain the standard wheel.

I can somehow hear the engine through the pictures.
Those aftermarket exhaust on s55 engines coming out of cars and coffee have done enough harm to everyone's ears
Hope BMW did an amazing job with the ASD.

Nice car otherwise.

Personally I think the styling is much improved. The current M2 immediately looks dated in comparison.

No Active Cruise Control takes it out of consideration for me, but hopefully the next-gen M3 will have ACC like the current M5.

That will at least account for some of the price increase.

That would be a +1 for me.

There's always something that's going to be newer/faster something -er. I don't really see the point in knocking down new editions and improvements. I like the new grill, I like the new front, it finally has a proper engine and seats, and after driving an M2 last year at Thermal I'm very excited about this one, because the M2 was already a great car, I can't imagine what the added power will bring.
+1. I might be interested enough to pick one up when my M4 lease ends next year. I too enjoyed driving the little ///M at thermal. It's was great on the smaller track. M3/4s were better on the larger track.

Ridiculous dealer markup could keep me away though. It's not a limited edition car and I refuse to pay market adjustment prices.

Kinda wish it had power dome hood but you can't have everything

You keep posting this $10k amount. Where are you getting this from? Please don't post search like you did in another thread. Link the source.

You cannot order the covers. You need the whole mirror unit and that is not cheap at all... You can easily see that is a completely new unit.

MR
I guess not easy enough?? At least in my case, but thank you for the heads up.

Nice upgrade!

As a current 2018 M2 owner, I'd be pissed if they bump up the price only by $5,000 USD. If the price is bumped up by $10,000 USD, I'd be glad that I bought my M2 for what I paid, which I think is the right price for the performance car this size.

Side by side, I like the new fangs better. More proportional to the car and more angular.

The old M2 does looked a little dated now.

This number came up when we started counting up options plus the new engine. In the end, there is a lot optional you don't have to take, but we all feel here that if you go for the brakes, wheels, seats, etc. you might end up 10K higher than a specced up M2.

I'm glad I have the option to buy either one. Going to be a tuff decision. I'm #1 and #3 at two dealerships, if I dont like the 2019, I have in writing and allocation for a last quarter 2018 build.

He's using BMW's marketing poster with all the lightings vs. his own cloudy day with no fancy lights picture.

You seriously wouldn't buy what is likely to be the best drivers car BMW offers just because it doesn't have ACC???

Seriously you need to have a conversation with yourself!

I agree with the other poster on this being a genuine M car compared to the standard M2. Even BMW is stating as such in the PR when it claims that this is a genuine M automobile.

This combined with the fact that BMW doesn't include the N55 M2 in the M package on their recently launched subscription program proves it to me. I'm willing to bet they will include the S55 M2 in the M package though.

It makes up for everything that was lacking in the N55 M2; Upgraded engine (biggest point imo), upgraded interior, a bit more aggressive styling (grill, bumpers, mirror).
Seriously!
Listen, BMW calls it an "M"2. Was designed in the M Division. It's an M car. If you want to pump up your ego by saying it's not, go ahead. But it's only working for you. :

Which are all options I would have on the N55 M2 if they were available. It’s not apples to apples comparison, if that is what he is referring too. Or does he believe msrp will be $10k more.

Any word on factory carbon fiber roof option? I'm not a sunroof person. Love my current car with RKP roof but I'm first in line at my dealer for this guy. Hop I don't have to go through the body shop again to put another roof on.

I really hope all those who are either disgusted or don't like the car put their money where their mouth is and don't run to the dealership tomorrow to put their name down. N55 M2 is the better looking, better sounding, better overall car. Hold on to your N55s guys. No one wants the shitty sounding, ugly looking M2 Comp
