M2's tachometer/redline is confusing

ok, this sounds stupid

From what I understand the redline for m2 is 7000rpm???

On the tachometer, you see a dotted redline all the way from 6500-7500rpm.

so what is the redline??

When the rev limiter kicks in that's where the redline. You will most likely need to shift before that point anyway for optimal performance.

Mine shifts at 7100-7200 rpms. I don't know if it's an error in the readings or if it's really shifting at that rpm.?

Just mash the pedal and let us know when the needle bounces.
