hahaha def not a criminal. File my taxes and make 6 figures. Just fortunate enough and got an early start. I went to college immediately after high school and lucky enough to get my foot in the door during college. Full time student back then and full time. Now I just work 40 hours a week as a consultant and enjoy my toys on the weekend.

Two quotes from bmw-plant-leipzig.com
"It takes less than 40 hrs to build a BMW at Leipzig, including many rigorous quality checks,..."
"Besides an efficient supply of the plant, logistics is also responsible for the just in time shipment of completed vehicles." Emphasis on the "just in time shipment".
Thus a BMW can start production in Leipzig and arrive for pick-up at die Welt within 3 days (40 production hours is equal to 2.5 calendar days plus approx 0.5 days for PDI and transport Leipzig to Munich).

Yeah, but you're not 20, are you? 26 right? That's a world of difference! At 26 I could probably have afforded an M2 as well. I started working full time as a consultant before turning 22.

What do you consult in? I'm a software engineer. Now being my own boss since 5 years back. Making twice as much money as I did when employed. (well over 6 figures in dollars)

At 22 I bought a nearly new Audi A4 1.8t. Only 150 bhp but back then that was considered quite alright. Chip tuned to roughly 210 bhp so for me it was a rocket!

Neither am I. Am only bossing over myself. Still doing the "dirty" work of coding and stuff. Love it!

6 figures and just 40 hours a week?? Usually it's one or the other!! You're living the dream-- congratulations on your hard work paying off!

1976, started a career in a highly stressful, dangerous career at 19 with an average life expectancy of fifty-seven in which I made it to retirement and taking every day I can. Recently sold some boy toy extras to pay for my M2...I will definitely enjoy it knowing that I earned it and made through to retirement. Never made six figures but no day was ever the same...cheers

My first post so hi to everyone. Why have an age group of 51 and over? We should also have 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 80 and over.
My 2008 M3 sedan was sold a month ago with my wife's 135i m sports coupe to go in August when the classy black sapphire M2 with dual clutch arrrives and we go to one car.
The best rear photo of a black sapphire M2 is on page 62 of the June 2016 issue of Motor magazine.
As a 73 year old who has driven many manual cars the dual clutch is fantastic provided you use the floor shift instead of the paddles.
Regards

31, bought the 2015 evoX Final Edition in January thinking it'd be ok for a daily, but I definitely wanted something nicer after the first month and put myself on the list locally for the m2.
dont really care about the power wars it seems like a lot of people are falling into on n55 vs b58 and s55 etc etc since i already have two track dedicated vehicles, one of which is awd and 700hp.
as far as the 20 year old comments, I have a couple employees who are 19-21 and making 6 figure without a college degree, IT world is the place to be.

46. I can afford more but this is what I want. My wife is ten years younger and has said repeatedly, "why dont you buy a mans car." LOL.

I tried to explain to her that once you become a man you really just want to be the kid you once were.

My wife just looks ten years younger than I do lol.

So she thinks an M2 is not a man's car?

If it was for my wife I'd be driving a black Ford F150 pickup truck.

She drives...me crazy sometimes

Cheers

Wow. Fantastic!
Welcome here. My dad turns 71 and is fine with his F30 320d, fast enough for him.

Cheers
Robin (turning 46 in about a week)

I don't think you're 20 then are you? Even if you started college at 17, there's 4 years plus another 2 for a MBA which most (not all) management consultants have and then starting salary usually isn't 6 figures.

Good field. I just left an organization that is starting to focus on UC. I ran their PMO though, so not on the technical side any more.
