lol, then its pretty much useless for me...tbh I thought apart from the noise it would make, it would add something extra in the system of the car that prevents it from being stolen...

No, even without the alarm you get the immobilizer and all that prevents the car from being driven away. Well, it will sound if the car was lifted or something. But these days thieves are so good that they work around that anyway.

I checked with BMW Originalförsäkring and the only difference was the deductible.

I'm in the US. Artemis is not.

My CA called me yesterday and told me to come in and spec the car. He said something about something showing up in the computer. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow. If there is anything, I will try to take a pic of his screen! LOL. I doubt he really knows what he's talking about though and it's probably nothing...

So this is the last email I got from my sales rep after I requested if I was able to please an order. I have #1 spot

"I can imagine how anxious you must be. I checked with my managers and there is still no word on when we will be getting programs or be able to order to the M2. It seems as though it is still a while out unfortunately. As soon as I have more information I will definitely reach out. I apologize that I don't have more information at this point in time."

The anxiety is killing me!!

M2 hors-d'oeuvre with M2 CSL as main.....

Ordered mine yesterday after sticking £500 down in February. Told that April 16th is the date. Supposedly #1 at my dealer but I am too jaundiced to believe that......Also "ordered" an M2 CSL yesterday despite it only being a gleam in someone's eye.....

Ordered most options on the M2 but couldn't order the Drivers package. Last time there was this option it was on the M3 CSL and I had to produce my racing licence but my dealer had no information on this option yesterday. I don't need/want any (inclusive to the no doubt expensive option) lessons at Nurburgring, I have fallen off their enough times......maybe they can remove the Vmax limit at PDI.

Only confusion is whether the M2 has the electronic switchable dampers that are so useful on my M135i. Dealer thought not, but he later sent me through a document that suggested it does indeed have them. Hope so because I will then sell my M135i and use the M2 as a daily car and buy an E30 M3 to play with......

Also ordered mine yesterday. Asked about m drivers package as well. Dealer hadn't heard of it. I want the speed limit increase as my CSL also had it. Comes in handy when your late through Germany for the ferry crossing

M Drivers Package is raised limiter to 270km/h and a drivers course at the Nurburgring. No need for a racing license. But we in Sweden also have to pay for the trip to the course and some other stuff so it is super expensive and not really worth it. But you can't order the raised limiter as a standalone option unless you bribe someone at BMW.

My advisor said there was no information in the system yet. What did you hear/see when visiting?

Yes, absolutely !!, in fact more specifically near Liege, (not Germany I realise !), parallel to the railway line. I think all my juvenile speedo photos have been taken on this fast stretch !! Yes, I think a BMW dealer bribe at PDI should do it !

My order was placed early Wednesday morning (08:20), which I've been told was the first time orders could be placed on the system - Had my order number by 09:00.

Apparently the 16th April is the first expected delivery date for UK allocations.

I'm coming from an M4, hopefully the right decision.

It's neither ditched, nor kept. Alike knowledge, it's passed on.

For anybody that may be on here from South Africa, I have contacted 4 dealers all telling me that they don't know when I can order or a price but orders are rumoured to open in Feb for April. One dealer told me that it a limited car at only 167 cars in three years which I don't believe.
