Best Ride Height for Street?
Want to know what height people are running to be a practical daily, while benefitting from a lowered center of gravity? I drive into the city everyday with my M2 and do not want to bottom out but enjoy driving mountain roads on weekends. I drive 7 lakes almost every weekend in Bear mountain. I will soon have KW V3 on the car and want to lower it in the manner expressed above.

I would say about 1-1.25" would be a solid drop to maintain looks, handling, and driving comfort. My client does a very similar drive to yours. He drives to LA and spends a lot of time in the the Valley tearing through the canyons. He's gone through many different ride heights and has recently added camber plates and wheels. His current drop is about 1.4" from stock ride height. (Image attached below of his car at 1.2" on V3 before camber plates).

My instinct is to say..... best ride height for everyday.... the one BMW designed it at! I mean they spend millions developing the cars, thousands of hours of testing and employ some of the best engineer.
I suspect what you actually mean is 'what's the best lowering spring'? If so I know a lot of people with the eibachs. Having driven a car with these springs I can say they are very close to stock & the attitude is spot on. However I'm not a fan of spring only drops so have opted for a full set of shocks & went for the M Performance suspension. It cost me the same as a set of KW v3 (I got a good deal) and I get to keep the manufacturers warranty b |
