Lol! I gave my sister my my 2013 R8V10 Spyder after taking delivery of then M2 just because it was more fun and engaging to drive.

Some snippets of my two girls at my detailing shop that's also my part time garage when it's full at home.
I like the purity of this statement moreso when contrasted against a super car!
Damn right brother... I'm all for the exotic looks and pride of owning one (not in a douchebag kinda way), but a car is meant to be engaging.

Like I always tell some of the supercar owners, doesn't matter if your car costs $500 or $5M, as long as it puts a smile on your face and gives you butterflies every time, it's definitely the right car.

$20K gap? I'd take the opposite bet.

nice man, will be making this choice as well. #4 on my list for m2 comp, coming off a lease on a 335i, but i don't see myself waiting a year for the car. Not worth the wait, and to make the comp really worth it, you'll have to add more options that will get the car near 70k territory. I'd rather stick with the sweet sounding n55.

I'll put $20 on a $20k spread by 10/1. 20k miles.

How will we find an M2 and M2C by 10/1 with 20k miles on both? Also, are you considering the initial crazy dealer markups?

How about M2C sticker vs what an M2 is going for, both brand new, at the time the M2C hits the ground? That's the fair comparison. I'd put $20 on the difference being less than $20K.

I’m struggling with this piece right now. Whether I want to lease an m3 or purchase a lci 18 m2. I’m on the list for competitive but that’s a year out and my lease is up soon. I’ve come to be fine with the engine being n55 and the overall performance of the car. What I’m struggling with is this car taking a 20k dip in a year and me being unable to trade it in or sell it in the future without taking a dive

I think you could argue either way - same may find it attractive to ha e an n55 and the only lci year on the n55

41k for a used m2? doubtful unless it's a 16 with some stories or 70k miles.

I meant used 16/17 m2 compared to new MSRP on the M2c. Looks like 62K out the door for an M2c with exec and 6 speed.

Most people put the exec package on the OG m2.

46.5 isn't 41 and not everyone has a family situation that forces them to sell at a low price.

Why don't you buy an e92 and use that for a year then sell it when you get your m2c?

The '16 M2 base price was, I believe, $52,695.

This one seems to be a manual transmission, and seller doesn't mention any options.

It also has over 15,000 miles on it.

So, if it doesn't have any options, he's now priced it $6,195 below what he paid for it.

M2 Competition- Base Price ......$58,900
Used '16 - ....................... $46,500
......................................... $12,400

Still not $20k drop in price, and that's after two years, not one year.

Could be over 2 years depending on the in service date, maybe 2.5 years. Anyway, 1 car is not an indication of the overall market. I bought my Lotus Elise in 2008 about 8k below market because the seller just wanted it gone and had 5-6 other toy cars and didn't care about getting top dollar. I had the cash and was ready to move and got a steal.

Man I wish I was living in the US still... cars are so affordable. Imagine paying USD135k for a Prius let alone USD348k for an M2.
