Now, hopefully their info is, in fact, correct and it doesn't show up tomorrow as actually being at the port still The only thing that concerns me is it is showing as being received at the port on the 15th and not loaded with the boat having an ETD of the 14th. However, it is does show as being on the Titania with an ETA of the 27th. Some inconsistency with the data but I am choosing to believe it is simply their updating of the info.
Good luck with this! Hopefully all good news from now on...

So i called BMW today to check on my production number...secretly hoping that the voice on the phone would say my prod week was pushed up but all these guys can tell me is the status (111). They cant even confirm my production week.
Until a VIN is assigned, calling them is rather useless. But i dont understand why my SA can tell me the production week but BMW Canada cant...

I'm in the same boat except my SA won't even give me a production week. He can only confirm a production number. BMW Canada told me the same thing they told you - they can't confirm any dates.

I would agree that the more accurate word is "won't" rather than "can't". I am pretty sure the prod week is identified in the system. But likely the SA has been instructed to not give those out too soon (as they can change and cause freak outs).

Great point - I don't blame him for the delay. Was actually thinking of pushing back my production date so I could partake in the next M Tour if one was to be offered again.

Enter the VIN under cargo ID.
Are you sure that your M2 definitely didn't get on the ship today, doesn't it sometimes take a day before the VIN info shows on the website? My M2 only sat at the port in Bremerhaven for 3 days before getting on the ship to Halifax. At least you will get your M2 very quickly once it gets to Halifax.

My M2 arrived at the dealership today,i am picking it up tomorrow. It has been a long wait to get the car but I guess you and I should just be happy that we are getting an M2 this summer, with so many people on the forum still waiting to get an allocation for an M2 from there dealer.

Here is a pic.
Congrats! Very exciting for you.

There is one thing that you can try, ask to your SA to give you a screen shot of your M2 order first page in the BMW system. My SA gave me that every time I've asked him (3 times so far and it is not over yet...) and on that first page you will see if you have a date beside "Conf. Prod. Week". It is written like this 30/07/2016 (week 30, July 2016), week 30 is July last week.

That worth the try for sure.

And if he say that this is impossible to do, then he's a liar or he's simply not used to the way we do thing in the modern world..

I have not asked him for this yet but will do so. It better show week 30 since that's what I was told. Thanks.

Very happy to report that I was called by my local Sales Manager to say that they got a new allocation and I have a mid-July build date. I was third on their initial list and then first after they delivered two MY16 cars.

As early as two weeks ago, they predicted November/December for their next allocation. I hope others find that their dates move up too!

We did have a few members get moved up, so hopefully the trend continues.

New update for MY17:
- iDrive 5.0 will NOT be available
- tire size remains unchanged (tires should stay MPSS with same size F245/R265)

Yep confirmed this info with my GM, but with some interesting follow up.

Now here is the interesting bit: allegedly all M2's made since March 2016 are going to be able to be retrofitted with the 5.0 software-only update including CarPlay.

They won't have the new 5.0 controller hardware apparently, but will be able to run the software.

Trying to dig into this deeper, updates will follow in the next couple of days. For now, treat this as a rumor until I get something firm.

Cool!

I am not really interested in iDrive 5.0 but I am happy the tires will remain the MPSS.

My "guestimates":
Copy/paste for tire size.
USA is not getting iDrive 5.0, so does Canada.

I stopped in at Otto's in Ottawa today to sign the updated sales order for the MY17 change. I was told I have an October build date, but they don't have the build week yet. I'm hoping that's true. If that's the case, there's a chance I'll be able to drive it for a few weeks before I put it away for the winter.

So the $2,000 MY17 price raise is for... let me think about it... absolutly nothing !

The only good news here is the status quo for MPSS tires !

In the USA they do not have any MSRP raise for MY17 M2... We get a $2,000 price raise and no upgrades, someone is laughing of us I guess !

My thoughts exactly!

Oh, for $2000 you get the option to pay $1500 for a sunroof.

I guess that is why the Order Guide says "for use within the BMW organization only". Wait a few days and it will all change again - though I hope the tires stay the same.

This pisses me off. Can't wait to hear why...
If there was no msrp increase I wouldn't care less since 5.0 and new controller were never going to be in a MY16 however, announcing it in the 17's made stomaching the increase a little easier. So much for that.
My first BMW experience has been quite the ride so far...unreal.
