Where do you put sunglasses?

I thought it is a common question, but I cannot seem to find a thread about it. Where do you put sunglasses in your M2?

I put them in the cup holder, but agree there doesn’t seem to be any good storage.

This sorta came up before. I found this to be the perfect place (assuming you keep your sunglasses in their case):

If only getting out of the car for a short time I throw them over the top of the shifter and they lay nicely in the soft Alcantara boot (with manual anyway). Otherwise in their case in the door panel.

I put mine on my face. I rest them above the nose and on top the ears.

When not wearing in the cup holder.

This works especially well if you are traveling with your girlfriend.

I keep them in a case, and the case sits in the slot in the middle of the rear seat

Left of the steering wheel below the light switch is a small compartment. That's where you'll find my sun glasses.

Use the driver's sun visor for short term storage (slide one temple in between the mirror and the liner). Works pretty well as long as your sunglasses screws are tight

Transition lenses don't work so well in the car because the windshield blocks UV light. I prefer polarized prescription sunglasses which also block UV better when you are not in the car. Good luck seeing your pre LCI gauges though!

My transitions don't get dark in the car! Car's glass blocks UV and that is needed to darken your glasses. Work around is to drive with glasses outside of car pointed at the sun for about 3 minutes, then put them back on, Down side is being blind for about 3 minutes.

I use old man clip on sunglasses. Convenient. And I put them in the door.

Treat yourself to a nice pair of prescription sunglasses that are contoured/wrap around type and fit well. Less light entering in from the sides/around the frames the better. You won't regret it, unless you leave them on top of your car and drive off and come back to find them flattened in the middle of the road. And please don't ask me how I know this!

I use the cup holder, but also purchased the following BMW mesh net.
There are also holders that use the visor.
