Looks nice but I'm wondering about the ride quality?

Stock setup is pretty firm on bad roads so I want to lower mine but not sure I can and still have the wife ride in it!

Yep ... same predicament.

I'll need to sample the ride in another M2 personally before making the move.

I know of quite a few UK M2s running the eibach lowering springs & having driven a two of them hard, both with 10/10 spacers, I can say that the ride is almost indistinguishable from stock.

If you don't want/need the functionality of a full set of coilovers but still want the drop then I can 100% recommend them. Just make sure you have a full geo done after install and return the alignment back to stock; perhaps a little more toe in at the front to preference.

That's interesting to hear. I can't find anybody on a forum who has been able to give a comparison between the OEM and Eibach pro kit springs. I'm really keen to get them installed as like the slight drop with spacers as in the Motech videos. It really suits the car with a slightly lower wider stance.

Can you tell me more about the ride, handling. I use my car as a daily and do a lot of miles so need to be sure the new springs are going to be harsher than OEM. Any info much appreciated. Thanks.

Having done the lowering spring thing a few times over many years, it goes like this. Oh this is great. No ride quality change at all. Handling is so good. That’s because you paid for it and start to become critical of road surfaces to explain away the deficiencies. However, on my current car I switched back to stock springs and ride height and went with Koni adjustable inserts. The difference is night and day. Suspension travel is everything. In summary, you want lower ride height? Get coilovers. Lowering springs are for looks only on anything but perfectly smooth roads.
