Yeah. Agree. Why can't they get the s55 to sound like the normal n55 engine that is in the M2? It sounds like my lawnmower ....

In all seriousness... why does the S55 and N55 sound so different from one another??

What I mean is... they're both related somewhat (6 cylinder etc).

Is it header related?

Genuinely intrigued.

The S55 exhaust sounds much better in the M2 CS test mule videos. Its definitely harder to make out the true sound of the exhaust from the test videos bit it does sound much better than the M2 in this video.

The CS will actually benefit from real engineering instead of some tuner monkeys that just shoved the motor into the car.

It has to do with the intake characteristics.

S55 Engine sounds absolutely like complete garbage.

That's correct. I've heard 10+ S55 engined exhausts in person (before and after ZCP, multiple after market brands, with and without cat) so don't tell me you need to hear it in person to understand.

And I agree with 90% of the NON-biased people is that the S55 is just simply not a good sounding engine.

People who are trying to justify and imagine the M2 Comp will sound good can just stop, of course, unless you are the other 10%

I know the performance of the car will be slightly better. More power etc. But you better believe it, you WILL be sacrificing the sound.

Unless you know, BMW comes out with a whole new exhaust system from header to muffler just to tune the sound, which is highly unlikely.

You're lying to yourself if for one second you think it'll sound anywhere close to the OG M2. It's just something you HAVE TO accept if you're getting the S55 M2
