Yes, my installer removed the shark fin and you need special sealant (ones that are made for car roof) to seal it properly.

It was raining for about three weeks in Oct, couldn't pull it off. I am in LA now and will be going to SEMA, so I'll try to arrange something when I go back to Asia mid Nov.
