BMW 640M M4 vs M2

Hi all,

I'm on the market for a set of winter wheels for the M2 and I've seen an add for a set of an almost new set of original 640M that comes from an M4.

It comes with 255/40/18 all around, and I think that the M2 gets 235 in front and 255 in the rear.

My question is, in the original winter wheel kit sold to the M4, are the wheels the same as the ones sold for the M2?

Thank you for your expertise

Yes, they're the same wheels...size and offsets.

I'm actually running the same OEM M4 set, with the 255 width tires, without any issues. I got a great deal on a nearly new set from an M4 owner who sold his car.

Keep in mind though...the tires are square but the wheels are staggered...not sure if you knew that already.

Hi, thank you for the info. I was not sure if in the M4 the wheels were staggered since the tires are square.

I truly don't understand why they would do the stagger, unless it's a matter of different offsets on the different widths and suspension clearance?
