One thing that is bothering me is the initial brake bite.

Great for the track. Not as fun on the street. Annoying if your trying to do heel n toe with everything off

In sport+ steering is IMHO to artificial heavy ( I also found this when I test drove the M4, the comfort steering mode was the best setting for me)
Coming from an EVO. Even the sport + setting is lighter than standard steering of the EVO X.

I did notice that the Sport + setting has a lighter throttle (more sensitive) while comfort mode is heavier.

Best part of sport+ is the sounds I get which I don't really hear at comfort

New complaint (or maybe a repost) the gas fill door is not sealed. After washing the car there was a puddle of water by the filler spout. Now that's aggravating.... Why no drain hole?

Worry not, my American friend. You are in good company. The sun/moonroof can be optioned here in the UK but it seems there has been very little take-up here. Must say something - maybe people look at the CF roof on the M4 and realise sticking a hole in it is not the done thing?

Why does the low tank warning start at the 1/4 meter?

Really? Wow that is weird.

It must have something to do with the smaller than usual gas tank. Although since cars started showing range left, I barely bother with the gas gauge anymore.

I thought it was because the way I drive it I only have 10 miles to go until empty

Didn't think the lack of instrument lighting would be a problem. But it is. Can't believe BMW dropped the ball on this one.

Are any coding guru's aware if it's possible to code white daytime intrument lighting? I was speaking to someone the other day who said it may be possible, just wondering if anyone has looked into it or am i just getting my hopes up?

I would definitely pay for this. I also wondered what the big deal was. Now that I've got a little over 200 miles in my car, it's definitely a problem.

Sad to hear that it's not on offer in your country. As a matter of fact, I love my glass sliding roof. Tilt it a lot.

I know that it's a no-no for purists (also because of race helmets requiring headroom), but I missed it on my 1M (BMW did not offer it). You can enjoy the sound a bit more, get some extra fresh air, get more light inside the dark cabin (you can also close the roof panel liner for complete darkness), you can see the skies as well as the traffic lights hanging right above you + it's a retractable black spoiler.

Here's a picture of mine on the day that I took delivery:

That sound is also artificial enhanced, so I prefer the comfort setting as I think this is the less influenced sound.

I have the windows down, my head is out the window like a dog. It burbles and pops more...

The droning is what the inside speakers get. Comfort mode is not that good, i seriously prefer sport+ at all times

Installed asd and exhaust flap bypass this week. Problem solved. Exhaust is always open now and ASD is permanently off with no 'enhanced' sound.

In comfort I`ve no droning what so ever, I must admit I like the internal sound that way.

I saw that the 2 exhaust tips at the right side have some black residu, the left ones are clean.

Are the left exhaust tips fake or what?

Not fake...just biased towards the passenger side. See this previous thread:

The shifter on the 6MT is incredibly rubbery. Called UUC Motorworks and they said they are in development of their Ultimate Short Shifter for this vehicle. Can't wait!

I'm very interesting to hear more about this. What specific parts are these?

Not me, I miss the loud droning that my 1M had.
