No coding on this car yet.
Mine turn off just after I start moving forward.

I tried it multiple times, because I couldn`t believe it at first, but the RPM is increased automaticaly !!

What I have would expect is slight drop in RPM when engaging the clutch, at best a steady RPM if being cautious on the clutch.
Doesn't every manual do this? as long as you have a decent amount of torque, you don't need gas to make the car creep forward. Just put the clutch on the friction point.

I don't typically apply gas until after I hit this point. Makes the ride smoother. Been doing this on all manuals I have owned.

Mine did too at first but somehow I subconsciously avoid moving it without thinking about it.

NO !!! It is not about the need of not giving gas, it is about how the engine responds !!

I`ve driven aan E46 M3, E92M3 and an E82 1M (witch has also a decent amount of torque as you mentioned) al 6MT

Neither of these cars AUTOMATCIALY RAISED the RPM in 1st gear/reverse when only applying the clutch without tapping the accelerator!
In fact the RPM drops just a little, not that they are stalling( of course with some respect for clutch apply)

Just try and see what is happening.

Relax.

I understand what you mean now. I would agree that the engine does act differently. I did have this conversation earlier with someone.

Maybe this is related to paint quality, so here it goes.

Looking down the side of the car with head level at the side gills, I can see what seems to be a small dent where light bends around it on the rear fender.

But when I go close to the dent to look for it, not only can I not see it, but I cannot feel it either. It looks perfectly smooth except from one angle.

Anyone know what this could be? Maybe there's already a term for it? I was thinking it is an abnormailty in the paint finish.

I experienced something like what you are describing also. I think for me the term for it would be "New Car Syndrome". I was so worried that something had happened to my car during the ED transport home. When I was on the BMW factory tour, they showed us the "body shop" where car bodies are repaired which have had cosmetic damage, then they go on to the paint shop. That doesn't mean that yours had damage though.

Only have 350 miles on it so far and I love it and love the sound of the car but what I don't like or would improve..

Noisier ride than I anticipated
Very stiff go cart like suspension on bumps in road
HK stereo lacking good bass boom sounds I like
Center arm rest moves too easily

My new negative - why does the volume have to jacked up so high on bluetooth mode on a iphone.

Second negative - why does it default to the Apple music player? when i was just on Spotify. It's annoying.

I would try to get this if you are complaining about the stereo.

Works with the M2.

One more reasons not to get the tech package.

I am seriously considering not checking the box.

I'm in Southern California. The heated steering wheel has no use for me.

Lol. I use it even when it's 65 degrees out. My hands are always cold.

Also, I had the coding reset and took away the rear camera coding, no issues so far.

I believe the default to Apple Music is an iPhone setting, not a BMW one. Either way it's been that way for years. Perhaps " apple car play " Will change this ?

Not sure what more Apple car play offers

Rip off those noisy Michelin Sport tires and get some Goodyear Assurance 80K mile tires and your commute to work will be in silence ...

That feature is lost once you fit the M Performance steering wheel (until you retrofit the original steering wheel).

The 'Driving Assistant' vibration engine is moved over, though.

Definitely not changing my wheel. Heat > More M performance.

I don't know how it works on an iPhone, but on my Android phone, the Bluetooth output volume can be adjusted within the phone menus.

I like my driving assistant vibrations to come from the road, something that doesn't happen in the M2.
