-needs to be 75+ pounds lighter (firmly into 33xx range)

-needs either bigger turbo or s55
-needs to be 6mt
-needs wider wheels and tires
-may need CF roof, depending
-needs more aggressive suspension, perhaps M coilover setup

to name a few things. if not, i will get a 991s. i am trying to get a 991.2 gt3 allocation, so if i get that i will drop out of my CS slot
Other than 6mt and weight, this sounds like an M3/M4.

With a 500hp, 6MT, 9000RPM NA engine behind its back, I would love to have one too

The B58 in the LCI M2 will need to put more of a power difference between the M2 and the M240i. With all of that said, don't wait, grab an M2 now.
wow so much bullshit man. where did you find that crap?

The M2 LCI will have nothing more then new lights front and back. which will look awesome btw. (already seen it) and there will be an additional usb port in the interior. thats it.

Thanks for the intel. No shortage of BS here, of course. Did the lights look possible to retrofit? Assume there are no bodywork changes so the answer would be yes.

I'd seriously wait...

Yes based on pure logic, and nothing more.

I drove the crap out of an xDrive M240i yesterday in mixed snow/rain, ohhh man that engine pulls. I had that sucker sideways. To fun.

I'd be pissed if I bought the current M2.

I am just sayin...

Imagine if you had an engine with that pull, more horsepower, together with M3/4 suspension and brakes, and a much sexier body... for almost the same money! Yeah, I'm pissed

Go drive the b58 motor one time, you'd understand my point. Maybe not.

M2 is not a 1M, so calm down now.

I have no doubt.

Forgot the eLSD... one of my favourite parts!

So, to summarize, the M2 is faster than a m240i and 1M (objectively), better looking than both (subjectively), is waaay better handling than the M240i (subjective toss up wrt the 1M), and about the same cost. But I am supposed to regret my decision because the B58 "pulls"?

I am sure the B58 is an awesome engine. That is not my point at all. I am just super happy with my M2 and just get amused by the peanut gallery sometimes.

I traded in my m240i for an M2

Nothing wrong with the m240i but it sure doesn't give the same satisfaction as the M2
