at the most 2400 mm² opening or about 60 mm diameter hole per side. I guess w/ the amount of heat in the engine bay, that could add some cooling. splitting hairs perhaps. I'm one of those that opens the hood to cool it once it's parked in my garage. so now you've got me thinking.

But too lazy to pull those seals out now.

I can't really say that I've noticed any noise reduction since installing mine. So I might just pull them out and not have to wonder if it makes any difference to the engine bay ventilation. In an OG M2 i wouldn't worry too much but since the air duct intakes on the M2C seem not to be optimally placed, might be best to do whatever possible to help the air ventilation from the engine bay
