EDIT- sorry, im actually referring to the ECS link you provided not the realoem one.
Yes. That's the legitimate part number on ECS's website. I confirmed with them over email and chat that this is the knob with blue stitched boot. Sometimes if it's a newer item, it takes them a while to actually put up pics.

At any rate, if you want to wait, mine should be here next week and I can absolutely confirm. I have no reason to doubt them though. Never had a single issue.

Wellp, I'm more than happy to eat shit. The part number in the M Performance Parts thread is for the stock knob. After further discussion with ECS and looking at the SEMA reveal, there doesn't seem to be an M Performance knob specific for the M2. There's no part number to be found for anything other than white stitching.

See here:

That knob has white stitching. The best bet for now might honestly just be reupholstered at IND. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

ahh thats too bad...i had my hopes on this. So IND is an option or like someone else on here did...they got the one with the white stitching and coloured the stitching blue to match...

Thanks for getting back on this though....

Yeah, or take the stock boot off the stock knob and glue it all back together. There's tutorials.

How would BMW be able to overcharge you for an entire new assembly then?

Old thread but had to say I literally just laughed my ass off in my office when I saw this!! People poked their head in to see what was so funny and I had to quickly click away so they couldn't see it.

Wanted to put this out there for the OG M2 LCI homies. The F30 M performance Knob and boot (part number: 25112222534) does not fit the 2018 MY LCI M2s. I watched Thic Whips on youtube with the exact same part number and it was a direct fit for his OG M2, I bought the part second hand and was expecting a direct fit and to my surprise the plastic boot anchor ring was a different shape, it has different clips and the shape and dimension itself are also very different. I should have believed the websites when it says it does not fit my 2018 M2, I just brushed it off since I seen videos of people installing the part # on their OG M2. Very surprised that the LCI has a different centre dash.

But not really that big of an issue though, Just swapped the boot following the steps from this post with the OEM one and the knob fits just fine. I used a Dremel with a small drill attachment and it was very easy to drill out the plastic clips.

Well, it's for the 3 and 4 series? You would need a 2 series knob and gaiter to fit an M2, so 25112222533. Yes?

I'm not sure what the correct M perf part number is for the LCI M2. But the knob does fit the 2 series, it was the boot that doesn't on the LCI. And I'm pretty sure the boot does fit on Pre-LCI M2 models based on Thic Whip's video it was the exact part.

I didn't really have a choice since I bought it 2nd hand but I'm glad the knob does fit just needed to do a boot swap with my original boot.
