Exhaust flap options

What are you guys running for exhaust flap control? I have a fabspeed sport cat with Dinan res delete and Dinan free flow exhaust. I need a way to tame the drone in comfort mode. Seems like the valve is always open. I need some stealth mode before the neighbors drag me out into the streets and beat me to death.

Thank you.

I'm not sure. I guess first I would check to see if the existing flap is working correctly. If it is and it's still too loud, you have two choices... Swap to the MPE or another exhaust with manually controllable flaps. Or modify your existing exhaust with new flaps and controllers. Which would require some research to find what would work for the Dinan, as well as some custom fab work.

Assuming Dinan uses stock valves:

CG precision
Bimmerlink
Macht Schnell EVC
BMS Can Flap Module

Thanks nioh. Dinan does use factory valves.

i got dinan, everything else is stock and i think it sounds great and i would not want more.

on highway in sport and s+.. there is a drone effect which gets annoying so i simply switch it to comfort. it goes quiet right away.
mine sounds deep and elegant, loud enough not to sound ghetto..

you already have sport cat, and no reson, i bet your car is super loud.

you could hear my cold start here in the first 10 seconds.
i wouldnt want more than that.

Oh yea cold start will wake the dead but I have cold start delete and that works really nice. I have the drone at 3k in comfort so that's my only issue. I think the valve controller will take care of it since the flaps are open in comfort.

I'm using CG VSC-1. Works great and is perfectly integrated into the car since you can program the controls into the rear view mirror home link buttons. I couldn't reccomend it enough.

That just plugs in line between the car harness and the valve?

Thanks Andrewc89! That looks like a perfect solution. I was looking at the BMW CanFlap option but that is considerably more and I don't really need the added features it includes.

The BMS canflap module isn't ideal b/c it needs to be plugged into your OBDII port at all times. You'd have to unplug it anytime you take the car in for service or diagnostic work and it's pretty visible as well. Idk about you but I like everything neat and tidy and don't like exposed wires and things of that nature.

The CG unit on the other hand gets mounted and plugged in under the car so you never see it nor does it interfere with anything. It's also a 100% plug and play install with the option of button integration. IMO it's the best solution on the market.

I know that the CG Precision VSC-1 is compatible with the M2 but does anyone know if it works on the M2C as well. I have the VSC-2 on my M4 and love it.
