It's $6500 here in WA..

Got that dreaded call from my dealer today. My car is arriving in port tomorrow but will be held until the global M car diff issues are sorted. No timeline at this stage for the delivery of the fix for Australia cars.

Prefer to have it held up and put right than get a problem car. Although if the fix is more than a few weeks away my attitude may change.

Looks great with the performance parts. Did you do the DIY from IND or did you order through your dealer?

Thats a bummer but i guess you can be thankful that you've at least taken delivery and the dealer didn't hold on to the car like they have done for many.
Will they just call you in when the replacement part is ready? Can you hear any unusual diff noise?

Did you find out what the story is with your handbrake boot?

They were actually baffled by the handbrake boot as well , as it has never happened. Hopefully, they'll do the whole lot once i bring the car in.

How did you guys find this out? My confirmed production week was 29/07 so I am assuming that means the car should be out of production by now or close to it.

Hope I am on the same ship! Dealer is also saying September delivery.

Chase the dealer up for a Vin #, you should be able to then find what vessel it's on using https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage.

Got an email yesterday about the Intensive Driver training day with the purchase of the car.

Anyone here planning to do a day at Phillip Island?
I'm asking to see if there's an M day to upgrade to instead.

Intensive is the entry basic course,
M dynamic is the one where you're given an M car for the whole day. A group of us from the forums did the M day when we got a 1M.

Definitely don't want to do the Intensive.

Thanks for that. Looks like it's on a vessel that will dock in Port Kembla on 14.9. Can't wait!

You could be a ship ahead of mine as mine finished its build 3/8. My dealer just sent through details, mine's on ELEKTRA and is due to dock in Fremantle 13/9/16, so a little under a month away..! I should have my M2 in 5-6 weeks!
