I am not sure the differences but i like the speedo set up on my 2018, i was dissapointed that the knee pad did not have the blue stitching. I wish they had the M stripes in the seat belting. I like those little details.

Outside of that give me any M2 and it is better than anything out there. You can never get that perfect detail for every person at a price point we can all afford. I am just glad I pulled the trigger on getting one.

I prefer the white dials to the grey ones.

I like both, but prefer the LCI. I had a M235i and really liked the interior, but really like the LCI interior of my M2. The change is more than what's seen in the pictures. You have to sit in both interior designs to see it.

The LCI dash angles more toward the driver, which is cool; and something I liked about my E36 M3, although it was more drastic.

I dislike what they did with the carbon fiber piece and the center stack area. It makes the dash look all unsymmetric and weird in the LCI. The original design was more clean and "German." I think they changed it because they were trying to hide that giant swath of black plastic-ish dash.

I prefer the new gauges/clocks and cupholder area design though.

I ordered my M2 before I'd ever sat inside a 2-series. Just before I got rid of my 335i to pick up my M2, I took it to the dealer to have its summer wheels put back on and was given a 2017 M240i as a loaner. My first thought about the M240i was "uh oh, this interior does look kinda cheap." There were too many separate hard plastic bits and pieces on the dash and it just looked too disjointed. Then, a week later, I picked up my '18 LCI M2. Holy crap is (IMHO) the LCI interior VASTLY improved compared to the pre-LCI interior. Everything looks more integrated and cohesive. The LCI M2 interior is easily as nice as the interior of my '15 335i was -- I definitely wouldn't say that about the pre-LCI M2 interior. Heck, with the LCI's new gauges, I don't even miss the HUD my 335i had.

And, oh yeah, I prefer the passenger-side interior trim on the LCI.

Yeah, I agree. When I first sat in an 18 M2 at dealer I wasn't sure about it, because it is indeed different. The center of the dash sort of puffs out. The BMW genius at the performance center who helped me, said they changed it to angle the center stack toward the driver more.

After driving and being in my M2 I really like it. The stitching on the dash is a nice touch also and the carbon fiber looks a tad darker to me.
