Mine started production on Nov 8, told it would be completed on the 21st. Then going on the loooooong sea voyage to the West Coast. Expect it end of January.

The shipping days are shorter than most think. From end of production to delivery was about 5 weeks for me. Couple days from production to being loaded on the ship and 2 days from arrival and it was at the dealer. Finished production September 13th and I picked it up on October 21st. Check out http://www.2wglobal.com to see what the shipping schedule looks like and you can probably get a good estimate. Once its on the ship you can track it on marine traffic.com. Should be on the boat for about 26 days.

What goodies are you getting? I'm planning on getting blacked out painted grille, lowering springs and spacers.

I'm week 47

LBB
DCT
Exec package
Car play

Dealer told me I was 112 last week. I have a production number how do I check my status? Do I call a hotline or is there w website?

BTW I live around the Baltimore Harbor. I've seen a lot of guys mentioning their cars check in there. Maybe mine would make it to the dealer faster... Idk

Thanks guys

You can create an account on mybmw.com but my SA called me before the status changed on the website by a day to inform me that it went to production.

2 days from arrival at the port to the dealer? That's quick. Hope that's the case with mine. How far is your dealer from the port?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have registered for MyBMW.com but I don't understand where I enter my production # to get an update.

I have a mybmw account and can log on, but don't know where to go from there.

Thanks

If you go to the site, on the left nav bar there is a button that says Add/Remove Vehicle, and it'll let you enter the production number or the vin. After that there is a place to select "Track my bmw".

Link to the Add/Remove section (if it works): https://www.bmwusa.com/Secured/Conte...ddVehicle.aspx

hope that helps

Wow thanks!

I was able to register my car via my production number, by following your instructions (add/remove).

So it accepted my production number, now what do I click on to follow my build progress. Where does it tell me that the car went from status 112 to 150? or whatever

thanks

If you go to the main page, like right when you login:
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...tOverview.aspx

Look on the grey nav bar on the left side of the page, and there should be an option that says track my bmw, and your 2017 M2 should be listed. It really doesn't tell you the status code, just that it started prod, or finished .. not much detail.

Is there some type of push notification/email that is sent when your car truly begins production? Or are you guys finding out via calling BMW genius line? My car has been locked on my BMW since 11/3 and I'm supposedly a week 47 myself. Bmore port

Either call the genius line or your SA. There are no automatic notifications. The My BMW site will indicate when the car finishes production but it is usually a few days behind.
