When I first imagined the car in the LBB color, I thought it unique and unusual and a probable selection. I'm not so sure anymore.
I know I should wait to see it fully clothed, so to speak. But, my impression now of the LBB color is that while it is eye catching, it may also be a bit more effeminate than I'd care for.

I saw LBB on a cloudy, drizzly day. Honestly, not a huge fan. Looked very greenish in that lighting. I'm sure it'll be great in sunlight but it's an extremely flashy color

It looks a little too soft for me as well. Disclaimer: I only saw it at the LA Auto Show, and the lighting there is unnatural. I'd rather get Yas Marina Blue as an option - which I think is a decent blue.

How about an LBB plate on an LBB M2?

Is that any kind of a reason to order the color?

So can anyone explain what's going on here please.
Both pics are of LBB. The 2nd pic I'm loving the blue and look at the caliper. The 1st pic compare it to the caliper it's way off?!? Is this car really going to change its colour that drastically under different lighting?

It doesn't look like the second picture in reality / or outside with natural sunlight. When you look at LBB in a parking garage or a showroom it will look like in the first picture.

Oh absolutely. It'll change from an Estoril Blue looking color all the way to teal. But that first picture is screwed up. It's not going to be THAT teal, more of a greenish hue. That first picture is too light when you look at the caliper as you mentioned.

What you have to realize is that LBB is super metallic with a ton of flakes in it

That's totally the opposite to what Nantucket posted earlier. The 2nd pic was one of the pics he took inside and not under sunlight. Nantucket can you confirm your pics you posted is how it looked to the eye? This is the same colour as it looks at any of the shows under lights.
Maybe it's an overcast day that creates the turquoise and inside or direct sunlight it's blue.

See here. These a real life pics. Where is this turquoise coming from!!

The latest Pixar movie "Inside Out" also uses some kind of blue that has affinities with Long Beach Blue, to picture an emotion...

Basically yes,the pics I took is how it looks inside under the unnatural lighting. It doesn't look anything like that very light turquoise outside pic which was compared to one of my pics.

As I said in my earlier post,it actually looks quite similar to Estoril Blue but you can also see the turquoise color mixed in with the Estoril Blue color. You can see a little bit of that turquoise color in some of my pics.

I am definitely waiting to see the color outside before I decide if I am going to order the M2 in Long Beach Blue.

Anyone considering this color should also wait to see the color outside in the sunlight.

So I went to another dealer today that a Long Beach Blue X6M in the showroom. It was a sunny day and you could really see the color next to the natural sunlight coming in the window.I took some pics but the pictures look more Blue than the actual Turquoise color of the car.Long Beach Blue is definitely going to look very similar to Atlantis Blue. Here are some pics.

We can all differ of opinions - and that's a great thing. But regardless whether one likes LBB or not, the color is undoubtedly quite 'peculiar'. It won't go unnoticed. I expect polarized 'like' and 'dislike' camps.

Elvis made blue suede shoes popular. Maybe the M2 can make LBB popular too (more than the X5 M and X6 M can achieve) ?

Difficult to capture on picture. Compare with the blue stripes of the ///M logo.

I'm still on the fence about this color as I love ///M specific blues. I've owned an Estoril Blue E36 M3 and a Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3, so I have an affinity for blue, however I DO NOT like teal all that much. I really like a few of these pictures as it reminds me of a mix between Estoril and LSB, but other pictures showcasing the teal really turn me off from the color. I'm leaning towards AW at this point with LBB in second and MG in third......Decisions, decisions....

Yes, I saw it at Bimmerfest last month on a X6M...not a fan either. That's OK though, I love the uniqueness of colors but I'm just dissapointed because I really wanted an Interlagos Blue 1M and they didn't offer a blue. Then I saw pictures of YMB M3 and it looked great until I saw it in person. Again, awful. So now waiting for decent blue and they make it even worse with LBB! So I'm not against funky colors, just a blue-starved M fan. I still have an old 2003 ZHP Mystic Blue to get by but why can't the just offer a nice looking blue and funky turqoise blue and make everyone happy?

Still so confused. Those pics it looks awesome and that would be my colour choice but you saying it looks more turquoise than the camera captures worries me. Did it look at all like this?
