I have mine with the Dinan intake and its great and you feel the power difference. Also with the app you can adjust the boost from +1 to +4 well worth it.

If you use 93 octane, set it to race mode. 91, set to sport +

Plug it in and go have fun. Like someone told you, if you are running 93 go Race. If you have shitty gas in your area you should run in a lower setting.
You will feel the difference pretty quick.

You could void your warranty. Plus, more stress on the engine.

I believe there was some posts from them saying it that it would difficult for BMW to know you had used this product if removed, but it would be possible if they dig hard enough, but they would really have to dig.

I used it as a stopgap (~1000 miles) until stage 4 was released and encountered zero issues. My dealer (Dinan certified) installed it without hesitation. I was very impressed with it.
It's a simple boost controller, that's it. No other parameters are adjusted (air/fuel ratio, etc.). For that reason, Dinan doesn't offer a matching warranty. Problems could occur down the line, maybe not. We need long term data and so far, it's too early to tell.

If you live in a colder climate or at altitude I don't see a huge risk here for this thing. As for "stress on the engine".. I dunno. If you manage your temps I don't see the issue. Your motor is subject to all kinds of torture depending on how you drive it. On the stock tune if you're doing pull after pull after pull, it would "increase stress" on the motor. BMW turbo motors always have a little extra headroom in them. The N55 in the M2 doesn't have much due to the turbo size but there's still a couple hp on the table.

Track day warriors, no matter the climate, should probably steer clear of the sport unit, though.

The sport tuner is worth every penny from my POV. The attached dyno graph shows stock vs sport tuner only. As for long term reliability, I agree with the above posters. I'd be hesitant to use it permanently, at least without an upgraded IC.
