Week 8 Build!
I just called the BMW Genius number again this morning and went from "it's looking like" of last week to confirmed week 8 build! So figured I'd start this thread for others as well. Delivery is estimated to be the beginning to mid-April, mentally I'll think the 15th.
BSM, manual, Exec, Apple CarPlay, M Perf Package, CF mirror caps Anyone else!? |

Black Kidney Grills, Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler, M Perf Exhaust & Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tips
It's a checkbox that covers most of the options I'd get anyway, cheaper is debatable doing it at ordering time but there were a few reasons I'm building it this way upfront. |

One thing I want to explore is if the car is available with spoiler delete. I ordered my e92 that way. The only thing I don't want to install is the spoiler, I don't want to mess up the trunk and I want to blame someone else if it falls off. No way I'm buying the exhaust without being able to take it off and sell it later. You won't get it out in resale and the used price will be at least $2k. |

It looks like there's only two of us for week 8 (2/19 - 2/25) so far, week 7 seems to be a much larger build week. Interesting how they schedule these.
BMW Genius stated the follow as a reference: ~10 days for build 10 - 20 days on ship 5 - 7 days for customs and port installed accessories 3 - 5 days for transportation to dealers = beginning to mid April delivery |

My Week 7 is still "Production Complete, waiting to be released to the carrier" since Feb 16th. No idea what's going on ... |

This is what they're saying today: released to a carrier and is awaiting for transportation to a port of exit. Another words, It has it's thumb out looking to hitch a ride to the port!

Here's my latest "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel". I hope it gets on the Porgy, if I'm researching this correctly. It leaves tomorrow 3/2 and is scheduled to arrive Port Hueneme, CA on 3/25. There's a day delay when calling the automated BMW genius so who knows, maybe its already on it!
