Did you ever have MPSS on another car before? Curious how the MPSS compares with the PS4.

Got my new -17 6MT and it had Contis. A friend got his -17 6MT that was built two weeks after mine and that had PSS.

I don't think it's worth swapping them for me. I don't track my car and on public roads I'm sure the contis are fine. They actually seem less noisy and more comfortable as well.

Seems like even with MY 17, the 'preferred tire' to be installed is MPSS.

Mid December build ( 2017 BSM 6spd), arrived late Jan with MPSS....loving them; had been running RE 71 and RE 11 on my 335i...but gotta say so far I am very happy with the Michelins...

Week 7 build took delivery recently and got Contis. However they actually don't look that bad at all. An older friend of mine says he has more respect for Contis over Michelin for the fact Contis are from Germany and has been around longer and that Michelin from France are expensive cuz of the name. I then told him people on the forum here said the MPSS are way better and he responded by saying unless u are tracking the car it shouldn't make too much of a difference to notice unless u are using it to it's full potential. Either way it seems to be a fine tire and I'm not really sweating about it anymore.

I had MPSS on my M2 last summer. Now Contis. I haven't driven too much yet but there is a slight difference. The MPSS makes the car feel sharper but they are also louder and harsher. The Contis have softer side walls and that makes it more silent and comfortable but it also hurts the steering feel somewhat.

I'm still undecided for which tire I prefer. I don't track the car so the grip and performance will be ok.

Not sure if there is a good correlation, but, I think it would be interesting to see if the Poll somehow included date ranges to see if "earlier" or "later" M2 builds are more likely to get conti's.

They're not. I went through back posts for last 4 months and every month it was roughly a 55/45 split MPSS/Conti.

To really get a good idea, we'd need to know all of the build weeks - then we can correlate build week to tire brand.

How long it take you to wear them out or you just swapping it regardless? I have the Contis but I'm not too bothered by them but will be looking forward to changing to PS4 as well!
