M235i in Germany is about 1.450kg, M2 is 1.570. More than 100kg difference...that was all I wanted to say. http://www.bmw.de/de/neufahrzeuge/2e...che-daten.html
EDIT: just saw that M235i is 1.530kg. Sorry, but still heavier.

I like the look of the car overall, but the very aggressive front makes the mirrors looks even more conservative. A little mismatch there... (sorry, no more mirror talk).

Looks like the M4s teenage brother got his wisdom teeth pulled out. Have you read the leaked article from Autoexpress? They mention multiple times how this car wasn't designed for looks, but for aerodynamics. In other words from BMW; "we know it looks like shit" However, I don't doubt that the car will be a blast to drive, not my option though. I was planning to buy an M235i, and I will probably stick with the M235i and not buy an M2 in future.

Much respect to BMW for actually making front and rear sheet metal changes on some of their M cars. It's rare that car companies will do this for their performance models. Most will just make changes to the the front (C63, GT350, etc.) and others won't make any at all (Focus RS, RS3, etc.).

Not the car, but we're talking about mirrors, man. I mean, how silly is that? And we talking about mirrors. And I'm not, I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do but we're talking about mirrors man. What are we talking about? Mirrors? We're talking about mirrors, man. We're talking about mirrors. We're talking about mirrors. We ain't talking about the car. We're talking about mirrors, man. When you come to the forum, and you see this thread, you see a M2 don't you? You've seen everything, right? But we're talking about mirrors right now.
Man look, I hear you. It's funny to me too, I mean it's strange. It's strange to me too, but we're talking about mirrors man, we're not even talking about the M2. The actual car. We're talking about mirrors. |

Your 33XX number is close to what I remember, as we were having this convo in terms of 1M weight vs. 235 weight. I just don't have the exact figure...

I can see IND right now pulling in all their resources to develop and sell M mirrors to new M2 buyers!
