Btw a friend of mine sold this to me for 600 euros, quite a bargain at that price. It feels so good in the hand, I can't go back to the normal steering wheel now. If I ever get an M2 or any other BMW, swapping this beauty will be the first thing I do before I even drive it. |

All joking aside I personally think it's quite ugly and cheap looking. The glossy CF looks like painted plastic and the fit and design of the rest of the pieces makes it look like something your kid took home from handicraft class. |

If anyone's selling one feel free to hit me up, the parts at a dealership I use for discounted pieces are currently offering me it for £618.

For those with the MP steering wheel. Did you install yourself?
My CA is saying there is coding involved and clock spring removal. There seems to be a lot of MP steering wheel installs done DIY on the F80 side. Would like to just do this myself. |

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, don't shut the boot & keep the drivers door open ( i taped up the negative terminal on the battery to fully isolate and just to be super safe. Waited 10mins, and then put my foot on the brake to dissipate any remaining energy. Removed the airbag, removed the centre nut with 16mm socket wrench, pulled the wheel ( take note of the wheel position) its keyed and is easy to line up after wards. Stripped the switches, and placed them on the new wheel. Fitted the newly rebuild wheel, to the car and torqued the center nut to 46 lbs feet. Refitted the airbag, reconnected the battery job done. If you have any queries please ask, i have done 2 previous steering wheel swaps on Audi's before doing the M Performance wheel. Cheers MJ |

And what's the deal with the clock spring? That comes off the old one and goes on the new one? Why is that a big deal? Or is it not a big deal? |

The clock spring is left well alone it appears to be within the steering column. I didn't touch it when doing my install. Audi's have different clock springs which can easily damaged but they are exposed once the wheel is removed. The BMW's clock spring are not exposed. MJ |
