young drivers often overestimate their abilities especially when they are given a powerful car early on

looking back, i must say i am guilty of that myself - when i got my first +300hp car i was 23 and pushed my luck a few times

I don't know, too many people are being too quick to condemn the driver. I think it could have been "Unintended Acceleration" which was a common Audi problem in the 80's. BMW copied AWD and Turbo from Audi, so perhaps they copied that too.

The donuts (while irresponsible) were executed fairly well...and looked pretty cool as well. With that being said, people shouldn't be driving at those speeds on public roads regardless of their driving experience/capability. Hopefully, not one was seriously injured, or worse, killed.
