Pretty solid plot!

Just for reference, we talk a lot about consistency, and the fact
that our advertised plots are on the "conservative" side so that
our customers meet our exceed our advertised gains.

Even though this dyno plot doesn't include a baseline run, the
peak numbers are almost 100% spot on with our advertised
Stage TWO plots back in the first post.

A happy and consistent 385hp at the wheels makes for a really
exciting ///M2!!

By looking at the graph I feel it would have done more with another HPFP. You can clearly see where they tapered it off to be safe.. Look how the tq stays in the 400 range most of the rpm..
Nice run! Would be 390+ to STD correction. Consistency yes, the way power put down is pretty much in line with everything I know about HEX tune. But again don't blame fueling, less about it in HEX case.

These days dyno shop don't have a clue how to properly present power curve on dyno sheet. I've seen too many like this, with wrong scaling...

Ask dyno shop for DRF file and send it over to me. I'll make a proper plot for you.

BTW where is the last 500rpm? Incorrect speed alignment or operator just giving up a little early?

Is that a stage 2 tune?

What are the possible downsides/ risks by going stage 2 without an upgraded intercooler. For street application, not track.

Can I get some feedback? I am wondering what others with Stage 2, sport cat and FMIC are experiencing if traction control is off and you go straight with full throttle on dry pavement in 1, 2, and 3. I get wheelspin in 1st, but the wheels don't break loose in any other gear - I was expecting to have to manage the throttle because of the power, but I don't have to. Thanks in advance!

I have no delay - nothing changed for me. Could you possibly have a boost leak?

Lots of variables here to consider beyond the power output of your engine. The amount of grip varies a ton between surfaces, not all asphalt is the same. I have driven bone stock M2's in MDM and had second gear chirp at Thermal. My car in MDM bone stock on some roads would chirp 3rd in some circumstances with the OEM Conti's that totally suck BTW, things changed quite a bit when I switched to the Michelin 4s so it could be these kinds of variables that are at play.

I currently am running my car stock with the exception of the VF tune stage 1 and the 4S tires, I don't play much with traction control all the way off but I will give it a shot this week and report back. As with many things YMMV

What type of road surface?

I find, in TX, rear tires hook up in 2nd and 3rd on concrete. Anything black asphalt, there’s no telling. 1st is useless WOT.

It's typically asphalt that I am on. I am just trying to find out if my car is on par with others of the same mods (which I am guessing it is) and without a dyno (yet) I was thinking the spinning of the rear wheels would be one of the few ways to determine the level of power, but I realize there are many factors involved...that's why a dyno is the best way. I just haven't scheduled an appointment for that yet.

anyone running intakes with this tune? I've been looking at various options, people seem to really like the Burger Motorsport Intake for sound and performance but have issues with CEL. Wondering if it will throw the CEL with the HEX stage 2 tune? Anyone had any experience with this or with other intakes paired with the stage 2 tune?

No problem for me because I never use it, but has anyone else noticed their sport display power gauges not working properly?

With my stage 2 tune, the numbers on the scale have changed, but the needle doesn’t make it nearly close to where VF alleges power. Mine max out at about 325 hp and 3xx tq.

Mine do not max out, but they at least get to 365-400 when the car is fully warmed up.

will the hex stage 2 tune work with the pure turbos stage 1? stage 1 turbo upgrade seems like an easy mod for a little extra power. if anyone can shed some light on this would really appreciate it. wondering if I can do the stage 1 pure turbos upgrade while running my hex stage 2 tune.

With the stage 2 tune from VF has anyone needed to change their plugs to colder ones? Did anyone need to gap the plugs as well?
