Aw really? Shame. By law here, they have to mark which gas types have ethanol and what % (with a big bright green sticker).

The cold would really mess up a high compression engine as ethanol freezes at -17 C (1.4 F) and releases water molecules in the gasoline. And you really, really don't want that going into your turbo'd engine. Given that is the average winter temperature here...well you can see where I'm going with this.

Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen a supreme gas (our highest grade) with ethanol around my parts.

not better milage as has higher ethanol content...but certainly more pep as ecu is tuned to 93 or higher . if I do 91 like she'll vpower it gets a little sluggish.

I miss the days out here when we used to have Mohawk. They had 98 octane fuel with no ethanol. I use Shell now, I haven't found any differences using Petro 94. Also, I fucking hate Suncor, so I find it hard to support them.

I guess you mean me. Car should arrive at the dealer tomorrow according to Hansen's. I won't be around to pick it up until the 18th, it should be in the showroom at Calgary BMW.

I'm currently in Cyprus. We visited a gas station here and I noticed their lowest octane (at least at the station I was at) is: 95!!!

They have 95, 98 and platinum! Platinum doesn't even list the octane level...

wtf

I have also noticed that seeing a nice car is very rare here...

You need to understand that other countries use different octane measurements. I think that Cyprus uses RON versus AKI for North America.

So 95 RON would be equivalent to 91 AKI, 98 RON would be equivalent to 94 AKI

I’m in NorCal and we have a few stations with 100 race fuel. There’s a 76 nearby that has it. Anyone tried it or know if it’s good or bad? I’m thinking to mix it in with vpower 91. 2 gallons or so. Would it be worth it or make a difference?

On a empty tank, fill it up with race gas you'll feel 10 to 15 horsepower you will feel a quicker response , butt dyno
