I am unable to find my vehicle production status on the BMW website. Is it just me, or has the website changed recently? I can log in to the site, and I have entered the production number and the 2018 M2 Coupe shows up when I go to the view/edit profile page. That shows description as blue and mileage as 0. But that's it.

Just in case it hasn't been posted anywhere else in regards to tracking your BMW:
You can automate the BMW GENIUS call by storing the following sequence as phone number on your speed dial:

+1 (800) 831-1117‬‬‬,,,,,,,,,2,,,,xxxxxxx,,1

The 'xxxxxxx' represents your order number. Using this sequence, it saves you from having to put in your selections manually every time.

The ',' is nothing more than a 1 second pause, a ',,' is a 2 second pause.

Update 30-Mar: Updated sequence, to cater for their changed menu options

so ever since I got a production number last week I've been on top of mine. it's at status 153 since Saturday, but when I call the 1-800 number it says estimated completion date is 4/14. what exactly is that date? if it's in assembly, everyone I've spoken to said it should actually be done by the end of the week. if that's the case, what is this 4/14 nonsense, is that when it can expect to be ready to get on a boat? I've seen a lot of other people say theirs was going to the port 2-3 days after rolling off the assembly line. why would mine take so much longer?

nobody has any idea? it's been at status 153 since Saturday per the 1800 number but it's still saying 4/14 for completion. I might go crazy if it takes that long just to get through assembly!

You have to consider that in Germany there are two public Easter holidays (Friday 30-Mar and Monday 02-Apr), taking two days out of a normal production week. The production date is pretty reliable and it means that it will roll off the line on 14-Apr in your case. My LBB M2 was finished last week on 20-Mar, I had been hoping it'll be on the boat by now, but only today (10 days later) the status updated to "transported to the port of exit" ... just to manage expectations. I had already been stalking the "Asian King" carrier, only to find out, my M2 hadn't even reached the port at the time the boat left. Super frustrating, want it to be here!! Maybe you feel better, knowing there are others waiting desperately for progress ... hoping to get on the boat tomorrow or the next one, which leaves 05-Apr. Good luck with yours!

it is super frustrating because it went into assembly on saturday, 3/24 and it's still listed as "in production" - at this rate it won't be here until end of may. everyone at the dealership was estimating early to mid may. 4/14 just doesn't sound right considering others had "production begins" and then "production ends" within nine days. mine has already been sitting with "production begins" since 3/19. i didn't think it would take almost a full month to build this car.

My car, which rolled off the line in Leipzig on 20-Mar-2018, I learned this morning that it arrives at the port in Bremerhaven only today, full two weeks later. So, this Easter holiday in Germany (some companies closed for 1-2 weeks) really seems to have increased lead times. I think that your dealer was also pretty optimistic with the timeline provided to you (and so was mine). There are two boats leaving Thursday/Friday this week and my M2 will better be on one of them! Again, good luck with yours, hope it gets at least after production moving faster than mine!

I'm curious to know how the Status changes on MyBMW for ED...

I picked up my car from Welt on Sept 19 and dropped it off in Amsterdam on the 27th. Currently, my status says "Vehicle Delivered" (Finish). Will it like go backwards on that timeline thing and say "Ready for Transport" or something?

The car carrier schedule link for K-Line America has changed:

+1 for the Genius number. They were able to give me an estimated production date for my MY2020. Way better than refreshing the website like an obsessed madman.

Doing the math from the estimates, it looks like the best case scenario for my MY2020 is May 21st. Worst case June 20th.

So in 2 months time, I'll be back to freaking out whenever someone parks within 20 feet of me.

If you are really nosy and your boat stops in Halifax, Nova Scotia, there is a webcam at Chebucto Head lighthouse. The site has the prior 24 hours of images and an image capture button. This one is the Olympian Highway leaving Halifax (with my car) en route to Baltimore.

As of today, the genius line no longer offers tracking information for ordered vehicles. They are referring all callers to their local dealerships.

We only have ourselves to blame. I called for an update at least 4 times.

shit, I've called at least 4 times. it's silly that the online tracker doesn't have the same info as the dealer tracker. or at least most of it.

I called because my SA gave me details that directly contradicted the tracker. The Genius Clarified the details gave more date specific details, which weren't in the tracker and they probably won't share... they clearly want to under promise on dates.

All the info and dates I've been given are pointless now that my M2 is stalled due to the airbag recall.

the genius, sales associate, and the dealership computer display that I saw with my own two eyes, say nothing of an airbag recall. yet my car sits in quality check for yet another day.

I'm my case, they oversold the date by quite a bit. they told me production ending on the 27th of April. then they told me the 2nd of May. and here we are...
