I just got off the phone with the BMW Genius and my car (MG/6MT/Exec/CarPlay) is scheduled to begin production today (1/12/18)! My calendar says this is the second week in January, so I'm guessing I have a "Week 2" production week...unless BMW's timekeeping is different than expected.

It looks like my car will be delivered in early March. I was actually hoping for a bit later delivery since I don't want to put snow tires on it this season...so I might be keeping my 335i lease (up in early June) until April.

Anyone else have a Week 2 car?

I got a email from my SA yesterday saying my car is going into production today. did you get a production number? On my vehicle inquiry report it shows my production number blank.
I also in the same situation as you, I'm hoping it takes a bit longer to avoid the salt and sand still left on the road.

My dealer forwarded me a printout of my car’s build sheet when they placed the order; that had my production number on it. The Genius I spoke to today gave me my VIN at the same time he told me the car was starting production.

Incidentally my dealer said they’d call me when my car started production but I haven’t heard anything from them yet. I guess I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have been contacted by a dealer who I dealt with almost a year ago. The CA I dealt with is no longer there, but the new CA seems really cool. I never expected to hear from them since I got my deposit back.

I have a Focus RS and was planning on waiting, but I'm going for it, and trading or selling the RS.

The new CA said he seen my folder, and thought he'd give me a call. I've decided to work with this new guy. On the vehicle inquiry my actual production date shows 1/9/18. The Vin number is also listed. The CA said it will be 4 to 6 weeks, and since I want the PCD; it won't be until early March.

That's fine with me, since I also hope the weather is better by then. I'm assuming I'm somewhere in you guys build time, but not sure.

I hadn't heard from this thread in awhile. I guess you all are still waiting on your cars. My car must have been week one, because it's already at the performance center. It's arrived there early. I got my RS back and am on the last step, the trade-in and paperwork.

The ship my car's on is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore today. I figure I should have it by the weekend of March 10th.

My vehicle finished production around week 2. The vehicle just landed at port hueneme yesterday I believe from what my ca told me. I have another 2-3 weeks waiting for it to come to Hawaii from California though.

I'm very happy and excited!! I've closed the deal on my M2 and have traded my RS. I'm picking it up two weeks from now. Good luck to you all still waiting.
