Thanks for posting! I had been waiting for a video like this since the LCI was initially announced. This has answered a lot of my questions but now peaked my interest on a whole new set of things I didn't even know about.
What is this "M View" about that he shows in the menu at 8:55? Is it similar to the way the M3 tach used to light up with the different redlines depending on temperature? It looks like digital shift point indicators. I may be completely off, I just can't tell what that icon is showing.

That head-up display is not in the M2. No configurator has one and you can clearly see the transition in the video at 07:54 and then again at 09:06. I think he must have filmed the M3/M4. Also in the iDrive screen you can see that the car isn't the 2 series but it is the 4 series.

"Leather Dash"
"Digital Cluster" Don't believe anything this guy says; aside from possibly stitching video of different cars he's also clearly uninformed. Aside from that parts of the video were helpful, such as the turn signals that someone also pointed out. Too bad he didn't pull up the oil temp screen. |

This is the best view of the LCI yet, including the official BMW videos.
Thank you OP.

I'll repeat it: height and rotation regarding the LCD in the instrument cluster do not make sense, there's nothing to rotate. They make sense regarding a HUD, that's what i said |

Effort appreciated.
Some inaccuracies, though. For example, the M2 LCI doesn't feature a Head-Up Display. And there's also no "TFT"/"digital" instrument cluster (it's black panel - backlit; only the OBC beneath the gauges is digital). Peculiarity:

So the instrument cluster does have a tft/digital display, like you say yourself. The instrument cluster is the whole thing, not just the odometer/rpm. Someone in another thread mentioned these iDrive options for the HUD may be available because this car hasn't been 'updated' yet, i think that would be very strange, but hey weirder stuff happens, for instance the the US "552-gate ". I know VAG dealers have an odometer reset option, only works with something like < 50km and other particular conditions etc. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW has that as well. I would hope so, look at it bouncing around. Let all hope this is not a customer car though, pls let it be a dealer demo . |
