Aussie deliveries?

Been updated mine will be ready around 12 October. Picking up from North Qld dealership. Seems it takes an extra week to get to North Qld, as told it arrived by boat on 24 October.

That's a long wait!!! There was definitely no way of getting it quicker? How about if you picked a different colour?

Yeah, will just add on a few BMW Performance mods like black kidneys, pedals etc.

Mine took approx 4 months although i know of others taking longer, had heard rumours wait times had stretched to a year but wasn't sure how true that was.

I've got an M2 being delivered to BMW Melbourne in 'November'. Struggling to get more information. Anyone got a car coming in the same shipment and can shed some more light on delivery times etc?

Well after a error with my build (ended up being an ordering issue where the dealer and BMW Australia didn't know that if you add the grey shade band to the windscreen which I did it removes the driver assistant camera/technology) I've done a deal on an M3 so won't be getting my M2.

With this I have a couple of bits that I've bought that I no longer need...these are:

- H & R lowered springs
- Light Weight Front Lip

Let me know if anyone in oz is keen on them.

I've seen it at $623 (screenshot from BMW bulletin) but not sure if that includes LCT.

I did have it written on my contract that the car will include CarPlay if it's available for my build week. So it will be included in my price anyway.

Good news you got it all sorted albeit you are no longer getting an M2, M3 will be just as awesome though. 😎

That's not what it means. It means your car will have the same stuff as my MY 17 that finished building a week ago. idrive 5.0, etc. You didn't have to wait till Jan to get one as there will be no differences, but obviously it's your choice. I should talk, I've been waiting since I ordered in April.

Every insurer I called takes the Compliance date as the "year" and not build date. So I'm comfortable with my December build.

Pissed,picking my car up on Sunday,now find this out,not happy !.I can see a interesting discussion will dealer tomorrow ,would definitely not of ordered this option if dealer had advised me of this at time of ordering..

So did you order the shade band also? Has your dealer confirmed your car has no driver aids fitted?

No it doesnt, However I think you can get it part of the BMW care maintenance crap thats hella expensive after.

But the glass isnt tinted from the factory, nor does it have that option

There is an option for 'Sun Protection Glazing' for the rear windows.

I've done sunroof, but I'm having second thoughts.. as I don't really use it in existing car? What are peoples consensus on sun-roof in Australia?
