I got my PCD date! Monday October 9th!
Had to push my date back a week because of a conflict with a wedding I am going to. My CA said that if I had wanted to get the car as soon as possible I could have skipped PCD and taken delivery at the dealer at the end of August/ early September. I'm fine with waiting a little longer at this point for PCD and will be making a whole vacation out of it!

After seeing your post and CLH's post, I called the automated line too. I haven't slipped (yet). Still the same Aug 18 completion I've always been. I'm week 33 - Aug 18 is near the end of week 33.
Your slip from 8/15 to 8/16 is still within your original week 33, but CLH seems to have slipped form the end of wk 32 to the beginning of wk 33. Maybe they're just having a hard time getting back up to speed after having been shutdown for 3 weeks (weeks 29, 30 & 31). |

Mine was scheduled for 8/10, and according to the automated line, and bmwusa, it completed 8/10 also! Now the waiting game starts. Its waiting to get on a carrier to the port, where it will wait to get on a ship, where it will wait to cross the great Atlantic, where it will wait at the port to get a carrier to the dealer, where it will wait to get prepped, where it will, finally, wait for me to PAY and drive home. ... yay

The interesting thing is that the VIN lookup tool at bimmer.work shows my car's production date as 8/12. Not a big deal, but the wait is killing me!

Genius stated Aug 9 completion and when I checked on Aug 10 on bmwusa the status changed to "Production End". So pretty much on schedule. Impressive.
Now if only they could "teleport" the car over to the states... This waiting to get on a boat, having the boat traverse the Atlantic, get to port, get to dealer blah, blah, blah will continue to take days off my life. Hopefully I will regain all those days back and then some once I can drive the car!! I have to admit this waiting game has been a good learning experience for me and probably a decent lesson for my son - aka big purchases should not be impulse buys. I actually have another reason to get the car sooner rather than later. I have a "dinner bet" with a Tesla "freak" friend of mine. He (along with most of the rest of the Tesla Model 3 folk) ordered a Model 3 back in March of 2016. Looking like his car should be in in Oct and mine in Sept if everything goes smoothly. Fingers crossed! Go BMW!! |

My production completion data was changed from 8/11 to 8/12. Now the BMWUSA.com shows production ends. It doesn't make much sense for me to keep tracking it since I got PCD scheduled on 10/6, but I just can't help myself...

I just got a 190 decodes to: "190 In transit to port of exit".
What confuses me is the next one, 191, which decodes to the inscrutable "191 Returned to BMW AG". Followed by "193 Arrived at Port of Exit". So why would the car be returned to BMW AG after its in transit and before it's arrived.. Maybe its a safety valve in case, god forbid, the car is damaged in transport? Even the Genius rep couldnt explain that one to me. Hope I never see that one! What do you guys think the best guestimate for time frame would be between 190 and 196 "Shipment Arrival at destination port"?

I've read that it all depends on the shipping schedule on how long your car will sit at the port waiting. If you get lucky and the ship is there or almost there you may get on quickly but if a ship just left or is full then your car is going to sit around waiting for the next ship. My CA said that if I was in a hurry the fastest route would be to take delivery at the dealership since they estimated it would be ready around end of August early September. Based off that it looks like around three to four weeks from status 155 for east coast if all goes smoothly. West coast delivery or if you are doing PCD would be a little longer.

Just got from the automated line "your vehicle is being transfer to the port of exit"!
I guess that is status code 190. Where do you guys get the status code, from BMW Genius? |
