Brake dust cleaning
Hello everyone,
So I’m cleaning my wheels thoroughly to ceramic coat them due the brake dust it forms frequently, and to make my cleaning easier. I have cleaned well for the most part and clayed it as well, but at the very edges there’s still a tiny bit of dust that’s stuck and is hard to clay or brush. I have been using iron decon and brake cleaners. What do you guys suggest? |

That would be a good option but it always lingers in the corner of my head whenever I wash the car, but I eventually cleaned out most of the caked up brake dust.

Plastic razor blades my friend. Back when I had my 07 STI, I would use my fingernails to get all the stubborn brake dust spots and then looked for something that mimicked nails and found plastic razor blades. I use those with a wheel cleaner as lube. I've gone up to Meguiars Wheel Brightener (acid) with great results.

I would recommend clay vs a plastic razor probably but whatever works. |
