The CTS intake had a measurable impact on WGDC and IATs. My RK intake even more so - I compared them in the MILVS thread I believe. The only issue with the RK is if the filter will block airflow to the radiator. neonbrown said he didn’t have any issues with his coolant/oil temps after installing it and it cut his IATs down by an additional 15-20F? He made a thread where he was talking about it. On the exhaust, the biggest restriction is after the downpipe. There was a guy selling a complete AWE exhaust for like $1.3k? Including midpipe and muffler. Again, for me, this was a measurable decrease in wgdc. My wgdc is about 10% lower than someone with similar mods due to these changes.

Haven’t seen that the CTS intake has much of an impact vs the stock M2 intake that is closed under the hood and already has cold air routing to the nostril area. An aFe scoop will grab more of that cold air.
Guessing the RK intake has some impact for the M2, if you’re OK with the looks and don’t need clean air to the radiator. I’ll pass. My WGDC stays 85-90% on track even on my near 500whp tune, so not sure why M2guru is hitting 100%. Boost leak? Last edited by ZM2; 05-02-2024 at 02:59 AM.. |

Stock box + stock intake are fine, I'd assume somewhere is leaking or it's the tune. Check WGCD calibration too. Small turbos could hit 25-26psi with 90% at 6k. 100% is def not right. I've seen Pure750 logs 30psi+ at 90s%.

when i had a real boost leak i could hear it and could also see it very clearly in logs..He/you may have what i did..My wastegate wasn’t actually closing, was open by about 2mm..People had me chasing leaks. We put it on the lift, took of the dp and cycled it with ista. then adjusted it..His hits 100 briefly then drops to 90’s..which its supposed to do. Gate closes til target is reached, then opens..I can’t see a log to see a full detail, but if you’re always in the 90-100 range and at 21psi…check your wastegate.

Now to figure out how to check/cycle the wastegate...not feeling like learning the software-side of things...might bring it to an indy shop. Next track day is a week away. |

Thinking about replacing the stock turbo with the Pure500. Seen online that you need to reset the WG via BMW software , is that correct ? If so does it make it a shop only install ?

Boost pressure test complete - one small issue resolved. This along with the wastegate adjustment (without ITSA) will give me something to test on Friday to see where my WGDC ends up.
How do others go about plugging everything to pressure test the intake? I had to use a couple odds and ends to: 1) plug the PVC hose (because I connected at the hard intake tube to the turbo that includes the PVC hose instead of directly at the turbo intake) and 2) plug the hard, narrow plastic tube that goes from the near the intake manifold to the near the air filter. |

Haven’t done this personally. I’ll have to defer to others for a detailed guide but I did find this poking around: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2078019
