Jb4 or remap will make the most of the DP.

You can fit an o2 Sim to prevent CEL coming on.

You're going to get a CEL with the BMS intake..

It is ultimately up to your dealership to decide on warranty related matters. Every dealership is different, as is the relationship you may with have with them. We design our Sport Cat Downpipe with the highest quality HJS catalyst and you won't get a check engine light - most dealerships appreciate that. Should you experience catastrophic engine failure, they might be quick to pinpoint it on aftermarket mods. Speak to your dealership and discuss potential modifications - mod at your own risk.

The law requires the dealership/manufacturer to show that a given modification caused the damage. Simply "pinpointing" it is insufficient. It is difficult to imagine how "catastrophic engine damage" could possibly be caused by a catted downpipe.

We definitely agree with you. It's just that every situation is different hence why we still advise to mod at your own risk.

Yep 20 miles and it came on for me.

With my M235i it was on there for about 6000 miles and never once a CEL, but on my M2 it was nearly instant.

Definitely thinking about the sport cat at the open house this weekend

Not sure if you are tuned or planning a tune. I am not, and couldn't tolerate constantly seeing the CEL. FYI, BMS gave me and others on the forum, a full refund, if you're not planning on keeping the intake.

I used it for 2 years on my M235i with no trouble, so I don't think I'm really due for a refund. The M2 does not like it though.

Ha, I see; didn't realize it was from your old car; I guess they wouldn't give you a refund then..

50% of the sound , 75% of the gains when going catted vs catless

75% and no CEL? If so, that's pretty sweet for daily driver action.

I would probably even say even more than 75% bolt-on for bolt-on. You're going to see more power gains with the Catbypass when it is optimized by a tune, as well as the Sport Cat. To me, there is no reason to go catless unless you plan on trying to pull every last bit of power out of the car. Otherwise, the Sport Cat is hands down the best option. Hence why I put it on my personal M235i !

What type of data are you looking for? OEM catalytic converters are usually anywhere between 900-1200-cells while our Sport Cat Downpipe utilizes a 200-cell HJS high-flow cat. Less cells = Less restriction.
